Visual approach and landing on runway 12 at Bilbao airport in Spain with views of the city of Bilbao, the port of Bibao and the surrounding areas. BIO / LEBB. Airbus A320 cockpit view with original ATIS (automatic terminal information system) audio recording, ATC (air traffic control) audio and captains passenger announcement. Produced in 4k.
We approached the airport on this beautiful day from the east and overflew the airport on a westerly heading. Originally, we got cleared for a standard ILS (instrument landing system) approach, but with the runway and the surrounding area in sight, we requested a visual approach and got the appropriate clearance from ATC. This saved some flighttime and fuel.
ATC informed us about turbulence, which we had to expect during the approach. The wind was only about 10 knots (18 km/h), but due to the constant change in direction and wind speed and some up- and downdrafts, the approach was a little bumpy.
Bilbao airport is located close to the city of Bilbao (distance about 9 km or 6 miles), runways 12/30 (2600 meters / 8530 feet) and 10/28 (2000 m / 6562 feet) are available.

Really a bad landing. Missed the TDZ, should have gone around. Typical endless flares in modern aviation.

I completely disagree! I suggest that you rewatch the video. The touchdown zone markings are a little faded. There is nothing bad with this landing. It was in the touchdown zone and there was no reason for a go around. Sure, it was not the shortest flare. It was a nice and safe landing. If the runway is long enough and we have a good margin for the landing distance, I prefer to do smooth landings.
