Bill Browder is an American hedge fund manager who was at one point the largest foreign portfolio investor in Russia. The primary aim of his investment was shareholder rights activism; Browder took on large Russian companies such as Gazprom, Surgutneftegaz and Unified Energy Systems. In 2005, he was denied entry to Russia, who declared him to be a threat to national security due to this activism. Browder maintains that this was actually because he had exposed corruption in the country. In the years since, following the death of his lawyer Sergei Magnitsky, Putin accused Browder of three murders, which was widely regarded as an attempt to discredit him. Browder has since developed a reputation for his anti-corruption campaigning.

Browder is a fake, he will never convince world governments that stealing peoples money is somehow a good thing to do. he will be partially responsible for the the fall of the dollar as governments abandon the US financial system and dollar, they are signing up to the Russian/Chinese settlement system. Important countries (Iran,India, russia, china and saudi arabia)are already using it and more will follow, its just a matter of time.

So much of what Mr. Browder describes about Russia’s cultural corruption - Putin’s oligarchs shriveling in his presence, or his people mocking anyone who bothers to challenge corruption - sounds awfully much like politicians and voters on the American right: McCarthy, Cruz, Hawley, Jim Jordan circling around Trump.

@@TedATL1 Who's ever benefit from trading with Russia in the long run? Absolutely nobody. The UK has become an oligarch-infested, corrupt state. France and Germany have financed the invasion by trading with the enemy; on top of that they got flooded by the exact same migrants the Russian military had displaced in Syria. Switzerland has lost its reputation as a financial center; along with it it lost one of its century-old financial institutions. Virtually everything and everybody who come in contact with Russia, its criminals, and their money, becomes irreparably damaged and corrupted by the detrimental influence. No sensible country, no sensible institution, and no sensible person would touch Russia with a ten-foot pole attached to a one hundred-foot pole. Russia is a cancer in the region; its criminals are the cancerous cells traveling along the now-healthy system, spreading the cancer to the regions which haven't yet been affected. One has to understand that this cancer must not be allowed to spread into the healthy areas of the global system, lest we all wind up living in an absolutely dysfunctional, failed, criminal, corrupt system with no property rights, no rule of law, no respect for the individual, and absolutely no dignity. Where everybody does what he wants and gets away with any crime - no matter how heinous it is - for as long as one is capable of administering a few bribes to the right people.

Some of Putins ‘soldiers’ work here in the US, and are born American. My biological family, including my nephew are loyal only to his objectives. It shocks me that this actually goes on here, and both my daughters and I have been on the receiving end of their torment, harassment and human rights violations. So much so that ;my oldest daughter, Kelly, killed herself in 2008. I’ve been calling them out and reaching out to every US agency for help. But they never do. My daughter Kelly even wrote a letter reaching out for help just a couple of weeks before she took her own life. It’s a sad thing that 15 years on, the harassment and violations haven’t been stopped by US officials!

That was an excellent interview and I had previously watched one done by a Russian woman which sort of filled in some of the lack of detail he was not able to offer due to the time parameters. AT the beginning of this war, when people said it was all about NATO and how unfair of us to criticize Putin, I knew it wasn't about NATO. IT was about Putin,"a special kind of monster", or did he say mobster?😉 WHAT KIND? HE is a psychopath and they think differently than logical, empathetic human beings. IN addition, Timothy Snyder-- who has studied this area of the world for over a half century and of course speaks the language-- said that EVERY country has a RIGHT to sovereignty and a RIGHT to decide what they want to do, ie enter NATO or not. In the other interview the guest Mr Browder said that following the success of the war by Ukraine, they should definitely enter NATO and they should be allowed to despite the Germans & the French NOT liking it. I wondered-- WAS THAT the obstacle preventing their acceptance--besides of course corruption which is actually rampant in ALL the East European countries who are members! THEY are all functioning with corrupt governments, corrupt political systems, and yet they are in NATO so that was a straw man from the get-go. IT makes sense that Germany and France were the obstacles and that's why Germany turned over a new leaf and is actually giving armaments to Ukraine --out of guilt! Another interesting thing from the other interview was that he said if Putin loses, he will then lose his hold on Russia and the Russian PEOPLE will rise up and destroy him! THAT made me happy because if you DON'T have the courage and the gumption to stand up for yourself, no one's going to do it for you. THEY need to take a stand but they won't do it until he's defeated. THEN the country as a whole will turn against him. Of late, I've been thinking of end of the COLD WAR-- tho the tide was turning due to the people and the Catholic church's presence-- we prevailed because we had MORE money for armaments than the Russians and the Russians went bankrupt trying to keep up with America. I can only hope that happens here although he gave a few caveats of how they are getting these armaments paid for and this needs to be closed off as an Avenue of getting money. HE also put to rest the fear mongering around nuclear war and I from the get-go knew that was a straw man because you're not going to bomb a country with nuclear bombs when there's a blow back to your own country, not to mention Poland, and the minute Poland got blow back of nuclear fallout--NATO WOULD HAVE TO step in and begin fighting and he knows when NATO's IN, HE'S OUT. He also mentioned in the other interview that when Putin goes down, the entire government that he has created MUST go down with him or else the same thing will reoccur. THIS, of course, makes absolute sense: even though the black widow or maybe the tarantula is killed-- the spider web will remain unless it can be taken down as well and hopefully the people will take it down. THE Russian people--although they have been misled and although they are killing their cousins the Ukrainians-- are an amazing people who have existed for centuries and created an amazing culture despite having terrible governments--dare I say-- the entire time. I wonder who asked the best question? AND I do want to also say, as other commenters have said, that this was not the best interviewer because we could NOT understand him, and at one time-- even the guests sitting right next to him couldn't hear or understand because of the muffled way that he enunciated things. ALL I can say to the English is -- DO NOT play identity politics, especially because your country predominantly is still Anglo-Saxon, so if you decide to choose someone who's not Anglo-Saxon to interview, that is fine but be sure they are able to articulate clearly the questions so that everybody can hear them.I like many simply tuned him out because I couldn't make out what he was saying and then I listened VERY carefully to the answer to try to figure out what the question was🙄

Perhaps Mr. Browder should start in his own back yard about improving conditions in other counties besides his own. Start with the State of Israel, before taking on an Entire Country with it's own Culture, Society and History. Mr. Browder is part of the Jewish Diaspora, and most of the Diaspora have family or friends who live in Israel. Many of the diaspora also hold dual citizenship. Mr. Browder should start where he can do the most good for people suffering the racist, supremacist ethnic cleansing & genocide of Palestinians. Maybe before projecting his personal agenda of wanting to exploit other countries for profit, he could put human right first as a important subject matter where his voice will be heard. He will not be ignored in Israel I assure you. This might be a first step for Mr. Browder before doing the circuit on how he thinks other Country's should accommodate his construct!

Dream on, the opposite is true, Russia and china have a fantastic relationship and all they need to succeed without the west, they have good relations with the middle east, India and Africa, further, they are also developing their own international financial system with no worthless dollar in sight. its Europe that is suffering, and because of that, there is a massive risk of world war 3. the USA wants to be able to steal the wealth of entire counties, like it has done with Iran, Venezuela and Russia and that is simply not acceptable to governments around the world, this Idiot is taking responsibility for that law, he should be in Prison.

Since this interview I recently saw a televised report on goods being shipped by truck to Russia on an overland road that lined that road for some distance. Discovered also were two American made pickups purchased in Dubai in there way to Russia to be sold for ASTRONOMICAL amounts. We MUST hold American manufacturers accountable regather than allowing them to accrue profits NO MATTER where their products end up. It is shameful!

Isn’t at all that simple. The Russians build two small passenger jets, but all the international flying is done on aircraft built offshore. The lack of parts to build more tanks is due to sanctions. They build an advanced, state of the art tank, but they don’t use them in Ukraine because they only had enough parts for some 14 units. So, certainly they have the technology but no advanced hardware to build them with, or the
