Racial humor works really well when done in good faith. If you’re just being spiteful, it seeps into the material and really ruins the experience. Not offensive, just not funny either. This rare quality is what makes Burr, Chappelle, and Rickles three of my all-time favorites.

There absolutely is such a thing as too much salt!! You add salt until you can taste it, if your tongue starts shriveling and your throat closes you've gone too far. Seasoning should primarily be herbal, salt should stay in the background complimenting the whole of the dish! We aren't deer smh

Also as 100% Italian I 100% agree. Important trivia. The word "salary" is where the word for salt originate, Latin word "salarium" . Salt was so important that people were paid in salt. SAlt was so important, there were salt wars due to popes taxation of salt, etc.... It was and is prized like money. Rome has street Via Salaria. So when you dis salt. Remember, its basically the origins of the word for money and people fought regional wars for it. So use your salt, sal, salarium... etc. It's magic.

When I was in college, one of my floormates was going home for Thanksgiving. She said she was in charge of the turkey that year. So, it was 4 black and 1 Spanish persons from different Caribbean islands and my floormate, a white girl, from Norristown, PA. So, curiosity made me ask her about her turkey. The conversation went like this: Me: "How do you prepare your turkey, Lisa?" Lisa: "What do you mean?" Me: "How do you season the turkey?" Lisa: "I clean it. Dry it. Then put apples and different fruits on the inside. Then I put butter all over the outside and bake it". Me: (and my friends) 🤨🤔🤭🤨 Lisa: "What?" Me: "Where is the seasoning? The salt?" Lisa: "That is what gravy is for"
