Anyone who tries to quote the price of solar or wind is lying. Do not trust them. Solar panels & hardware may have a fixed cost to purchase. There may even be a fixed cost to install & maintain them. But the amount they produce, and thus the $/kWh cost of the electricity they produce, depends on where & how they are installed. If you install them in western NY, they will produce half the power as in southern CA, which means the electricity they produce is twice as expensive. Add to that the problems of what to do if there's overproduction, such as paying for battery backup, selling to the grid, etc., which increases the cost further. I live in a location that's pretty good for solar--not the best, but good. Solar would cost me ~$0.16/kWh over the life of the system before accounting for storage, etc. Installing a large system with backup in a location with improper seasonal or just bad solar potential can easily see real costs twice that. Can you afford spending over $0.30/kWh? Most people can't. And that's not a bug. It's a feature. This admin and other so-called 'environmentalists' want to make energy so expensive that you can't use it. And if you can't use it, then you can't emit. They claim it's to save the planet, but it's really just about keeping you down. A poor and starving population can't challenge who is in power.

Lowering the cost benefits the poor because they don't have to spend money they don't have to benefit. This admin blocks permitting which makes infrastructure expensive. If not for this admin, the infrastructure would NOT be expensive, and everyone would have more energy more cheaply. But the admin DOES NOT WANT PEOPLE TO HAVE ENERGY. *THE ADMIN WANTS ENERGY TO BE SO EXPENSIVE PEOPLE DON'T USE IT.* And they think not using energy will save the planet, but it will only kill people because energy is needed for life. Her feeble point of govt interfering the market for efficiency, e.g., insulation, means the poor have to spend money to upgrade their homes, cars, etc. They often don't have that money, and tax breaks don't help people with no tax liability. And most homes aren't in a state where a small, single fix will make a huge difference--EVERYTHING has to be upgraded to make them efficient. This is Cassidy's point--the rich can afford to stop using energy. The poor can't. The poor can't stop being poor unless they have energy. The war on energy is a war to keep the people in poverty.
