I still can’t believe he betrayed us the way he did. He portrayed our people in such a positive light, and inspired so many of us to go to college to have that Huxtable lifestyle. Everyone wanted to be a Huxtable. It brings tears to my eyes. I still can’t believe he did what he did. Why would you destroy everything that you built?

I empathise with you. I am not African American, but I admired Cosby immensely. He was extremely intelligent, funny, and kind to many people. Yes, if the accusations are true, then he did wrong, but the legal system has dealt with it, and it is anyone else's place to judge him. He has to deal with his own conscience, and if there is a God, he will answer to God, and He will deal with it.

Cosby spoke Truth in this interview. I respect him and admire him for having the brains and the courage to speak the truth. Now, whatever Cosby did or did not do, he still gave the world decades of learning, laughter, and a great deal of wisdom, such as he did in this interview. Was I devastated by what he was accused of doing with young women, and did it forever colour my views of him? Yes, but I still admire and respect the work he did and what he gave to our American cultural heritage. I am sure there are many things many other people have done, be they celebrities or not, that would shock and even devastate us to know. Cosby is not an anomaly in that respect. Do not throw out the baby with the bathwater. I hope some day The Cosby Show will return to the air.

Defending a liar and a serial r-pist is disgusting. I don’t care what “good” Cosby did in the past-it was all performative. He is not a good person and apparently he never has been. I grew up on The Cosby Show but I can never enjoy it in the same way again. Not sure how anyone could. When someone does things as vile as Cosby has ADMITTED to-you can’t just overlook it and focus on the positive. It’s horrendous.

What Mr. Cosby said on Oprah and at the NAACP was correct. The only issue was that he said it in front of a particular crowd who would take it the wrong way. But he was absolutely right. We do need to do better as a community. Remember, Cosby is of a particular age and generation where he was taught certain things and he's passing it on. Regardless of how he said it, he's right.

Love Cosby....I didn’t get irritated until about 8:50 when I realized Oprah is pushing and pushing the narrative of how he felt about criticism vs digging into his message. I would’ve had so many questions for this man on parenting. Say what you want about him ever since social media came around.....but knowledge oozes from that man (hence why media hates him)

Growing up Dr Cosby was my hero He was funny, Articulate, Well Dressed, Educated and Revealed to the African In America how they should pursue their Dreams. I still carry that in me to this day. Despite how people feel now consider him for his work in education, music, History , and entertainment. Not to mention Black Culture.

This so-called controversy always bothered me...where is the lie?! What did he actually say that’s incorrect? A lot of us needed to hear this! The problem is that people are ashamed that “others” heard it. The only problem is that the myth of the overwhelming absence of Black fathers persists. Truthfully, there is some validity to this, but statistically, we are still the most present. But this needs to continue, improve and increase.

Sixty two women went looking for Bill Cosby's attention to accuse him of being a predator None of their original statements include the word rape It was not what Bill Cosby was charged with. Any belief that you might have of quaaludes being used would be an illegal distribution of drugs. Just as much beyond a statute of limitations as any assault that you believe was committed And never officially reported to the police. In fact the statute of limitations can not acknowledge accusations reported by the media until they are officially reported to the police Which otherwise could be an accusation about anyone Which also violates the individual rights of any real victim of abuse . 🙄. ⏱️ Tick tock tick tock tick tock Bing !!! 62 women lied !!!

He said all this not long after he settled with Andrea and after other women publicized their assualt by him. Oprah gave him a stage still, and it wasn't until Hannibal made his comments that broke it open. For him to critique others is beyond narcissistic.

But to see this man play on television and see him make mistakes. And also be ignorant and continue to make the mistake until people realize it and eventually put you on front street. His fault and his fault alone. He is not perfect. He is only human and desires. Make a lot of us do crazy things to obtain them. His contributions and the knowledge he kicked to all of us we all have things that we wish nobody will ever realize Just imagine if your phones start telling all of your secrets…… I’m sure what bill did wouldn’t top that 😅

What’s crazy is he got caught and he got put on blast about everything that he did yet there are people who still make movies, music, and other entertaining ventures that get away with the stuff that he does and still get people behind them treating them like their gods it’s kind of like Scientology if you. Don’t praise that Bill Cosby did. But I do understand the dynamic of the sexes when it comes to having a good time you’d be surprised when you go to parties how many people beg to get messed up just so they can do what they don’t really want to do and then cry rape in the morning.
