Bill and Frank's story was such a great part of the show. Two people who against all odds found love in the apocalypse, and lived out their days together, and left the world together, old, happy, and content. Of all the people who fought the apocalypse, Bill and Frank won.

I found it pretty lame. Too cliché, too unrealistic and unnecessarily romantic. Also that they are dead when Joel and Ellie arrive makes this episode almost pointless. I preffered the Bill from the game, where he is a much more interesting character, and his relationship with Frank not so pale.

I think the biggest thing that tipped off Frank that Bill was attracted to him was how hard he went with the meal. As someone who was raised conservative and religious, we were taught as kids that gay couples were sinful and wrong, and there were those around me who acted repulsed just at the mention of someone coming out as gay, or seeking a gay partner. Its been a long time since I've believed in or followed those teachings. Once I reached an age where I started thinking critically about these teachings it was just so obviously wrong. I knew gay people. I knew they had the same capacity for kindness, thoughtfulness and love as anyone else. I consider this to be one of the best episodes from a TV show that I have ever seen, because it shows exactly that. Its a story about two people who love each other. And that's enough. I hope more people see it.

Ok so go play the game again lol. You’re very clearly bothered by the fact that bill is gay and that his character became more fleshed out then being a boring plot contrivance
