I love they got Murray Bartlett a trained singer and Broadway star to sing badly

i was just wondering if he was a singer! it seemed like a pretend bad performance , and really it was only the piano that was bad, but then when he sings "and" he has such a beautiful twang sound

Its a masterpiece bottle of an episode. Absolutely flawlessly done and i'm glad this exists in the world. I am not gay but I come back to this quite a bit when I am sad about love because love is love.

Love will abide Take things in stride Sounds like good advice But there's no one at my side And time washes clean love's wounds unseen That's what someone told me But I don't know what it means. 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and make you mine And I think I'm gonna love you For a long long time. Caught in my fears Blinking back the tears I can't say you hurt me When you never let me near And I never drew one response from you All the while you fell all over girls you never knew. 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and make you mine And I think it's gonna hurt me For a long long time. Wait for the day you'll go away Knowing that you warned me Of the price I'd have to pay And life's full of flaws Who knows the cause? Living in the memory of a love that never was. 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and change your mind And I think I'm gonna miss you For a long long time. 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and make you mine And I think I'm gonna love you For a long long time.

@@PerrinCarrell very funny. I get what you’re pointing at. “Why even mention your straight, you could just say you enjoyed the show”. I did. I only mentioned it because I noticed a lot of people are very biased. I was trying to illustrate as a straight man, I appreciate the narrative regardless

It doesn't make us less straight, nor less masculine, to see a well-written love story and appreciate it. The only thing I can say is that it shows you are more secure in your masculinity and preferences if you can see this story and appreciate how well it is written and performed even though you do not identify with their desires.

My fiancé is a bit left of center, while I am a bit right of center. When we first started dating, we watched this together. After the episode was over she said, “I’m sorry if that made you uncomfortable.” I said, “Why would that make me uncomfortable?” “Well,” she said, “I know conservatives don’t really like gay people.” I laughed and explained that most of us don’t care one way or the other, and that I thought it was a beautiful episode that was done extremely well. Nick and Murray did an amazing job together. Love is love.

Yeah, a few hours before really. Frank got trapped in one of his traps, and Bill came out thinking was a zombie. Only to find him. Brought him in to have a meal. Then well, you saw from there. They lived 20 more years before dying together, taking crushed pills. Frank had some degenerative disease at that point. Great episode. Season 1, Episode 3. HBO

I think an interesting thing to keep in mind is that Bill has probably been alone for weeks or even months at this point in the apocalypse fending for himself, and Frank has been out on the road witnessesing the absolute worst of humanity, and in this tiny little moment in the middle of the end of the world, they both got to have a genuine human interaction, and whether it turned out to be romantic or not, that definitely would bring some overwhelming emotions to even the hardest of souls.

@@shineyrow9001 Yes it's part of the human experience... less than 10% of the time but nearly 100% of the time in tv shows and movies. Not to mention the rate of real monagamy in those relationships is FAR higher in tv/movies than in reality. I'm sure the writers and producers are regretting not making one of those two characters trans.

@@mmandible5470 Funny how hollywood must make it seem like it's so much more prevalent than reality, and make it seem like most gay men are monogamous and just like straight married couples... but the majority are not. I lived in the gay neighborhood of a major city for years... I saw few monogamous couples and a huge amount of risky, multiple partners per night and middle aged men with teenage boys conduct. Funny how that side is rarely portrayed in movies/tv.
