Im caring for my 88 year old Father who was diagnosed December 4th 2023 with alzheimers stage 2 moderate, it is truly painful to watch my father fade away slowly and sometimes faster than others. I feel your pain , see your extreme love and more extreme loss 💜😞🫂 alzheimers is truly a cruel disease 💔 😢 😔

I cared for my mum who had FTD. I had to place her in a care home as she was no longer able to look after herself. Watching my mum fade away in such a short space of time was unimaginable...but I know I did my best for her. Make the most of yr remaining time left. Such a cruel disease 😢. I miss my mum everyday. Its been 2 years now.

I think it’s horrible to think there are people struggling with their diagnosis who can’t avoid seeing this every time it pops up on the tv!!!

Hello. I have dementia. Moderate stage. I saw this video for the first time right now. Not ashamed to say it made me cry. Not because it filled me with dread or anxiety. It was on account SOMEBODY was hitting the nail on the head in understanding how this feels to us. I can't count the number of these "deaths" I've had and presently going through. My new death? Starting to have trouble pronouncing 3 or more syllable words. I understand what you're saying because this could scare people with dementia. It helped me and I thank those who produced it. Maybe put some kind of "may be disturbing" disclaimer on it?

Do you think they remember it ?

@@CATAGUILAR People who are in the advanced stages most likely wouldn't remember it. From everything I've learned most don't even realize they have dementia.

😢 heartbreaking story. I understand his pain and despair. My beloved wife Norma also suffers advanced Alzheimer’s. I also feel she dies a little bit everyday. I visit her everyday and although she cannot talk anymore she smiles when she sees me. That and my faith in God and that we will be together in the eternal life gives me peace. I want to thank her caregivers and the Alzheimer’s associations around the world for their wonderful job to help our loved ones and ourselves. God bless them all
