The main problem with Maher is that he doesn't respect young people. I find it hilarious that his criticism of the left is that they complain too much, essentially, while the right is 'alarming' and straight up criminal. I can list the reasons why I don't like Maher. I watch him because he can say what the right is thinking regardless if what they think is true in a few sentences. I don't want to watch 20 hours of fox news a week to figure that out on my own. He also has a bunch of often older guests that also have opinions i disagree with, but it gets me out of my bubble without it becoming something I need to spend several hours a week on.

I've never been a big fan of Maher, but I agree he speaks for the "vast middle." The reason I know is because I agree with him about half the time. He claims to be liberal, but he's more moderate than he would admit. We need more voices like his, and we need far more people who are balanced enough to see both sides of issues as he does. The polarization of the country is horrible and has led to Trump and Biden....we can do better.

I'm not tribal . My positions on issues guide me . If republicans suddenly believed in climate change, a woman's right to choose, sensible gun laws etc...I'd be open to voting for them. Yeah, CBS television industries have it in their contracts as owners of the studio where this show is broadcast from .... CBS controls a lot of what is setup in their owned space. I feel sure Bill would rather not have them there. But nice try at taking a petty jab at Bill for something you do not understand.

I'm pretty conservative but believe Bill is one of the only voices of sanity left in the political media. His quote that I repeat regularly continues to be true today - "If you do goofy s***, regardless of what side you're on, I'm going to make fun of you". Keep being you Bill and know there are so many that respect what you do.

He would do well to follow his own advice. Don´t be TRIBAL. He couldn´t be more Tribal with regards to Israel/Gaza. He has not once even mentioned the massive death toll in Gaza while week after week he repeats his unconditional support for Israel which he calls a non-apartheid state and the killing of civilians and children is not genocide in his eyes. I´ve been watching him ever since Politically Incorrect, never miss a show, but lately his TRIBALISM saddens me and even shocks me.

His show is just a series of him watching clips and then reacting to them like they're the most shocking thing on the planet and shouting at the camera for 3mins. I used to watch his show religiously and after a while I saw just how lazy it is.

Bill’s shows are FUNNY because he is giving his HONEST and clever opinion. I disagree with him on many topics, but I always enjoy his shows because he’s not a thoughtless talking head with a motive coming from a corporation.
