When people are in conversation like this and make quick retorts off the cuff, this is most often when they are likely to auto-pilot their way through a self-projection outburst.

The number things are twisted out of proportion or taken out of context in politics is quite terrifying. It really displays the stupidity of the general public and it’s inability to make its own judgements. Please think for yourself, do NOT rely on opinions of companies. The speakers for said companies, and in most cases any guests involved, were payed to say what you want to hear. See the source material first, see other people’s opinions later.

Probably spent a fair amount of time doing his homework for something that only lasted a few minutes and in which he had an extremely small window to say his piece. It definitely wouldn't be easy with Bill O'Reiley interjecting. Like when he asked the high school kid what was the main big lesson that he took from this drugs and sex ed class, it would be extremely normal for someone to pause for 5 seconds to stop and think and he would pounce on it and say "See?? Bill just talks over the kid when he senses himself losing. The kid had some valid points, but we couldn't even hear what he was saying. It's one thing to win a debate on hard evidence and logic. That's how O'Reilly argues his points. O'Reilly and all other anti-science people think that logic, reason, facts, direct quotes, proof, data, and evidence are irrelevant and the only thing that is relevant is their beliefs and viewpoints. It's not about getting a message across or proving your point, it's about winning an argument. Watched a video made by an anti-vaccine person that was titled "Never lose another vaccine argument again!" Which is shocking because I never thought any of them would admit losing an argument ever... I digress; to them it's not about saving lives, preventing unnecessary suffering and disease, preventing permanent harm from preventable illness, and lowering the cost of healthcare; it's only about winning an argument.

@@pythonlearner8179 Ghost writers are so common for political pundits, I wouldn’t put it past him to have done so. Specially seeing his reaction in the vid: he continued sermonizing the teen about him not having read his book properly or even not having read it at all, yet the teen could bring it up from memory easily and O’Reilly continued denying it and saying it was “never written anywhere in my book” and changing the topic. Typical behaviour of someone who’s probably never even read his own book entirely and when asked about the contents, stays within superficial information: “my book is definitely anti drug, my book is the book, ask anybody, it’s a huuuuge book, amazing, 5 stars, everybody and their grandma loves it”. Chronic lying shows its sign eventually.

he didn't own anybody. all he did was be rude to an adult that was definitely right in this case. my school wouldn't allow other kids to be interviewed for the paper talking about their drug use because it was INAPPROPRIATE. It's ok to tell your stories, but to have it be posted or said in an assembly is not right for children in HIGH SCHOOL!!

+Alexander Huebner regardless, who was right, who was wrong, I don't care. I'm talking about the way this man conducts himself. The kid was not rude, however the poor excuse for an adult calls the child a pin head because his view was challenged. That is very wrong.

+Alexander Huebner At a very young age, around 10 to 13(it was a while ago so memory is fuzzy), my uncle told me about how he did lsd, meth, pot, slept with bookers, and told me how he regretted it because it led him to the rock bottom that he is still recovering from. My family (on one side) has ALWAYS been open to me about their past and told me their stories. I'm now 18 and I've never drank alcohol, I've never smoked Anything legal or illegal, I've been pressured but felt no urge to whatsoever and that is because I was told OPENLY and HONESTLY the real dangers of drugs BEYOND what it does to your body. It may be inappropriate but it shouldn't be inappropriate. That's like not telling kids in schools that we were responsible for mass genocide of Native Americans because some would deem it unsavory... OH wait. We need to drop these outdated taboos.
