There is literally no such thing as race. The idea of separate races comes from the religious belief that we evolved at different times and are therefore a completely different species. Every single person on earth comes from two individuals. And then there was a genetic bottle neck where only a handful of people survived. Enough of the catholic lies and pushing its racist social justice.

Siakam is a great defensive wing who has us a multi tooled offensive threat and is a greatly improved playmaker. He mat not be an alpha now but he's 100% max worthy.
@t4d0W2 жыл бұрын
I think its sort of a thin line. At Haywards' best with the right team he really pops off. He was so important for the way the Celtics played their brand of offense as being the connective guy to those other scorers. Hell you can see how the Celtics miss a guy like that right now. Siakam however on average does deliver what he does at a base line with his open floor scoring and playmaking. And even if he played 2nd/3rd option to Kawhi/Lowry back in 2019, he was still VERY important as another reliable option on both sides of the ball.
@respectedlocalgentleman71082 жыл бұрын
The point is that they're both second options, at best, on winning teams. Paying good guys great money results in a shitty product, as the league has demonstrated over the past decade.

Exactly. Even with his 'struggles' Last year, he was the first Raptor EVER to average at least 21 7 and 5. It's a shame so many think the trade rumours have anything to do with the actual team. @odonnellcaleb2 жыл бұрын
I guess the real question we will never know the answer to is..How hard did they shop him? How hard did they try to unload Porter JR and Bol Bol? Because I find it hard to believe that NO one would have pulled the trigger on a trade that would excite most fan bases that aren't hoping for a title. But then when you consider how many teams passed on them in the draft I also can't say it's impossible. If they could have stolen a good player from another team then...They completely failed. If they couldn't? Then I guess they took a necessary gamble for a small market team, and at the moment, it looks like it backfired.

Yes and No. There probably was a 'healthy' figure for MPJ but I can assume he had leverage because of Murray's prolonged absence. Jokic needs a bucket man next to him to make a deep playoff dive and MPJ had the Nuggets by the balls on the negotiating table.
@enthusiastofcute2 жыл бұрын
No it was a gamble and it backfired. They bet on a guy who’s had chronic back problems which have already severely limited his time on the court. The fact that he had another back issue after signing the contract could be fatal to the Nuggets in terms of roster flexibility and cap space.

Jimmy is currently playing the best basketball of his career though. So he hasn’t even started to decline like CP3 actually has. - As an individual, I'm glad he got paid. BUT as a opinionated Jokic supporter, it was bad to give MPJ that much money based on his injury history.
@rodaxel71652 жыл бұрын
You guys should do the best contracts in the NBA. Best value for what they're getting paid. Alex Caruso. 4 yr 37m. I know he's missed some games. He can start or come off the bench, be your 2nd or 3rd ball handler or run the 2nd unit. Play both ends. Elite defensively, can guard star guatds on the other team. Decent 3pt but also great as a cutter. Plays well with other stars. Lebron, Demar, AD and Zach etc. Biggest mistake the Lakers made was not keeping him.

Seth Curry. Averaging 16 ppg, shoots 45% from 3 almost every season, and is only making $8 million a year. He’s a steal. Would probably get a Davis Bertans contract if he was a free agent right now.
@larryfranklin26812 жыл бұрын
Im at 16 so maybe they mention him later but Duncan Robinson has to be mentioned. I guess him being in the media now and Bill is probably cool with him. Joe Harris has much more dimensions to his game than Robinson and Robinson has turned into a full time podcaster after getting that contract

I get its fashionable now to talk about how much Simmons sucks, but he is getting woefully undervalued. It isn't a coincidence that Philly have gone from a 1 seed to fighting to avoid the play-in this year. Saying he is a 'glorified role player' is complete nonsense.

@@SomeChink amen!!! as a Sixer fan who literally doesn’t miss a game…I know all too well what Ben is and isn’t. BB had to start TJ to avoid a sweep to the Celtics, he then had to take the ball and give it to Jimmy the next year, missed the bubble and then last year was the next year where yea we stomped the Wiz but he was not good there and then we all know what happened the next round. Literally every PO he’s been a disaster.

This is an interesting topic but at the same time idk how to feel about it. Its a lot of recency bias. Also injuries are hard to predict. So many factors play into a players value. I blame it on the team or coaching for not using that player correctly. And then chemistry between players can be a problem too. A lot of the players on this list are still relevant players and can be viewed as legit contracts depending on what happens in the future. For instance, Luka Doncic could tear his knee tonight and be considered a bad contract. A lot of variables

For any youngins who don't know what Bill Simmons was talking about with his Knicks handing out insane contracts comment. In 2003, 2004, 2005, this era, Izzy was acting GM of the Knicks and any time a player put up like 20 points, he would give them a max or near max contract. It was so out of control that in one of those years, i think it was 2004, im being lazy. Their salary cap was so high that even with today's salary cap, 2022 salary cap, they'd still be over it. And we're talking nearly 20 years ago.
