Revisiting the comment section of this video on today of all days, and I am encouraged beyond what I can convey from all of your sentiments. If you haven't read the sermon I wrote about my suicide attempt and what this film (and specifically this scene) meant to me in the aftermath, I'd really appreciate if you all followed the link in the description and read it. As of the posting of this comment, I also made my first video essay where I revisited this film, my suicide attempt, and everything I've learned in the years since then that I would love for you all to connect with me and watch (also linked in the description and posted at the end of this video). All that being said, what I ultimately want to say to all of you lovely people in my comment section here is this: I would LOVE to not only play the song that unites all of time and space with all of you, but I would LOVE to support you in YOUR song. It's you. All of you, always has been. I want to live a life inspiring others to make their song known, play it loud, and when I can, join in and play along. All of you matter just for existing and being on this planet. And all of you have more worth inherent in your being than you could ever possibly know. So if you have not yet subscribed to my channel, I would love for you to do so, as I strive not simply to create content, but to inspire all to create THEIR content, and ultimately, to join all of you in playing the song that unites all of time and space. Lets be excellent to each other, together. And more than ANYTHING else, let party on, dudes!

It really does capture the essence of “be excellent to each other” and showing the planets aligning which was mentioned in the first movie was a magical feeling. Also glad the song was an instrumental.

@fnhatic66942 жыл бұрын
@@malibutaa I think a better payoff that keeps the end of 2 more intact would be if the message was that the 'music that unites the world' is Bill and Ted go back in time and essentially invent the gift of music to early man, playing concerts throughout time. It isn't one song, which is why the future people don't know what the song is. What unites us is what already unites us: humans inherently understand rhythm, harmony, etc. every culture, everywhere.
@squritle_swag51282 жыл бұрын
And that's what made it the best song in the world it got everyone involved the best
@fnhatic66942 жыл бұрын
I think I wrote a better ending to this in my head - kind of. So, I didn't hate this movie, but I didn't like it that much. The twist that it was their daughters was obvious the very second they say "Preston/Logan". So here's the better ending - so the far-future prophecy is that Bill and Ted unite the world with music. However, the future people don't actually have the song. Bill and Ted don't have the song. I'm pretty sure not even in the earlier movies, do they have 'the song' (maybe the KISS song at the end of Bogus Journey?). You also have a problem, as a writer: you want to deliver to your audience this song, to finally give them payoff/closure. But realistically, nobody could write anything that would actually come close, because that would mean as a writer, YOU have to write a world-uniting song, which nobody can do. So the actual ending is that everybody misunderstood the prophecy. Bill and Ted do unite the world with music, in a way that we are already united: with the actual gift of music, itself. Because we ALREADY ARE UNITED WITH MUSIC. Every single culture, every single uncontacted tribe, everybody in history, has understood rhythm, harmony, and scales. Even if they didn't actually have the math and comprehension of the science of music, everybody knows a harmonious sound versus a discordant sound. That's the uniting gift of music, it's something uniquely human. Even going back to Indian chants or caveman drumming. If you took a copy of Dark Side of the Moon back to Ancient Rome, it might confuse them, but they'll still think it sounds great, because music is universal. So that's the twist. Bill and Ted go back in time, and essentially INVENT music, giving the gift of music to early mankind, and the revelation is that the world doesn't need a song to unite them, mankind has had music uniting it all along.
