How about a Stone Giant who got exiled from his "family" and now he's an Angry (less neutral) individual? Searching for a new Cave or labyrinth to inhabit? Party finding him could help or be in the way of that Giant's quest for a new home.

Yanno, aside from the goat, Aj Pickett, there arent many videos on specifically the Stone Giants , which i need for my (currently underdark based ) 5e Grim Hollow Campaign. So i appreciate this a lot, great vid , man. Currently 1. I have Svirfneblin and non lolth aligned drow that live in a former stone giant city, attracted to it by the incredibly magical stone architecture. When the stone giants returned and found the "lil uns " in their homes , they thought they were cute and inoffensive and bonded quite well with the stoic svirfneblin. The city is ruled by a stone giant King and a Svirfneblin queen. 2. I have another city of stone giants that recently made their way to the surface , despite the cultural taboos as a massive war on the surface has resulted in explosions that have shaken the underdark and caused cave ins in the giants settlement , as a result , a large band of stone giant warriors have made their way to the surface to basically "GET THE FUCK OFF MY LAWN/hit a good ole "poke the upstairs neighbors floor with a broom handle " Very fun. Very good idea's stemmed from this and Aj's videos. Thank you!

First, thank you and welcome to the channel. AJ is definitely a superb resource as well. I really like your ideas - those are the kinds of ideas that make for some great gaming. Keep on thinking outside of the box and challenging your group.

I may have bent the lore a little bit, but in my campaign the stone giants, because of their neutrality, were tasked by the true neutral diety to guard one of the entrances to the outer worlds, namely to the Nine Hells, for they are master craftsmen and they can create weapons strong enough to keep hell's emissars at bay and in the same time let no foolish mortal or frivolous diety to pass in there. In my settings they are also responsible for the forging of the good souls that may merge with its wielder and create diety of this bond. My players have yet no idea about this. And they might not have for a very long time, but there are a few hints for them to see. They will have to find a way to pass the hellish portal and they will need help of both dragons and stone giants to make the weapons capable of killing the armies of the BBEG that wants to rule not only thist world, but all worlds once they are burned to ash.

In what started as an all Orc campaign, our DM used Storm King's Thunder! For one of the sessions, He had us play giants attacking the town and i chose the Stone Giant and he had a pick that deals damage to structures and for digging. We defeated the town and my Giant survived to take what we went there for, and i destroyed and at least damaged many of the buildings! He also likes to smoke a "doobie", so he is more of a Stoned Giant! Swinger! : )

The party could need special stone weapons and armor, made of a special type of stone that is stonger and lighter than iron or steel.

If your party has a Druid or other natural caster, maybe they could teach Bumbo stoneshaping.

I've actually used a stone giant as an excuse for a certain plot point. Basically, our fighter wants to multiclass into a Hexblade warlock, and we've established that it would happen when he obtains a certain sword cursed by the Evil Deity™. Since this fighter has high charisma and Entertainer background, I've decided to highlight these aspects in that sidequest: the sword would be a prize in a dance competition of sorts. The problem was, I couldn't figure out why would someone want to get rid of this sword in such a way - it's pricey, it's powerful and also has historical/religious importance. So I've decided to make it so that the stone giantess archeologist found it in search for remains of Voninheim. Since she has no use for it due to her size and she's quite passionate about all forms of art, she's going to cooperate with a local innkeeper to arrange that competition so that the new owner could be chosen fair and square, instead of just said selling it to whoever offers the best price. The BBEGs of this campaign are mindflayers that try to make their way to the surface, so the giantess might also become a useful source of information about Underdark later on

what if they built a whole bunch of cities underground that were connected by tunnels and stretched on for miles and miles
