I did this job on my 01 24v. I wish i had bought the less expensive ebay billet cover. I ended up paying over $300 for bean machine through Thoroughbred diesel, because they said no mods were necessary. Turned out i had to not only grind my vp44 bracket but also machine the stand off bolts so they would recess into the cover. They machined the holes in the wrong locations. Then the all threads for those we’re barely long enough i had to pre install them with red lock tight then install the standoff nuts. Left it questionable for torquing it evenly. All this work and it still ended up leaking again less than 6months later. Totally disappointing as I brought this up to Thoroughbred diesel and got zero response. What a waste of money

Hey man, I’m probably to late for this to be of any use, but the A/C condendensor(radiator in front) has lines that are so small that they acqnt be flushed cleaned. To do the A/c, your wasting your time to try to reuse it. Once the compressor starts failing it will not only clog the orifice tube it plugs the the condenser. I’m pretty sure dodge(and most manufactures) tell you to replace it when doing a compressor drier and orifice tube. A lot of time the condenser will flush(that’s a personal judgement call) if you run some flush threw a white rag and see what you get when you flush the A/c lines.

You can relocate it. BUT it will make your AC less efficient.

Like the channel Tom, but would like to see you use a torque wrench where appropriate

Hvac doesn’t make cool air, it rejects heat. Putting the condenser coil behind a heat source will add heat to it.
