Hello Terry but music is not like that these days :-/ Billie, unfortunately, is a literal industry plant- unlike any we’ve ever seen. If you do even a little bit of research on who she is or who her family is, you will quickly (and unfortunately) come to the conclusion that many modern day artists were predestined for fame and “talent”. And by talent, I mean collaboration with the right individuals who are already successful, and by fame, I mean handouts and pressures from her family. These are not the days of Simon & Garfunkel. Those who are truly talented get lost in the weeds of Disney child celebrities and daughters of famous music industry managers. Unfortunately, Terry, music is not what it used to be :(
@miamaru4143 жыл бұрын
@@matthewhopkins5701 I’d disagree. She definitely had certain privileges but her success came organically after Ocean Eyes was a viral hit and her first EP was met with such good reception. I’m only 18 of course so I don’t know the old days you are referring to, but I love Simon and Garfunkel and Billie. I think we should be able to enjoy music from every era. Billie is very talented bottom line and deserves her success. Is there other people out there just as deserving not receiving the same attention? Absolutely. But that’s not her fault.
@visionik3 жыл бұрын
@@matthewhopkins5701 Ha. FYI Paul Simon's father was a band leader and Art Garfunkels father was an actor. Sounds like music is exactly what it used to be. Damn, for being so young, this woman is so damn talented! She's only going to get better and better. It's unbelievable how well she did from beginning to end. Her monologue, acting live, singing. I am seriously in awe of her and she seems like such a sweetheart!

I love everything about Billie, as an old fart she's the kind of young creator/performer who just warms my shrivelled old heart.

You're an old "fart"? Strange reference..

It's been said that she was so nervous to be the guest host for SNL but I'll give her props she handled it very well for her first time.

3:26 I love Billie and you can tell that she didn't write this joke but not every host is a comedian/comedic actor so it would be unfair to criticize her for that. She did so well!

I think we all know who wrote that joke

I can’t keep up with her style evolution in terms of clothes. A week ago she looked like a soccer mom and now she looks like a character from the Candyland board game. The girl has range.

Billie says she just wears what she wants to where. She doesn’t see it as evolving just changing day to day.
