Billie is one of those artists who sings live and sounds the same as she does in the studio. And when she sings live, she can be even better.
@musicfangirl740311 күн бұрын
Yes that’s Finneas and he’s the greatest. He’s a really great singer/songwriter with a beautiful voice in his own right but he seems very happy to support Billie in her career. I saw him do a live solo show and he kind of blew me away. I met them both and knew their mom when they were kids. They’re a really cool family and so talented.
@JRay.R13 күн бұрын
Yeah dudes, Billies got some maaaaaddd pipes on her. She’s extremely naturally talented AND incredibly skilled at what she does. She’s a perfectionist and doesn’t release any music to the public that she hasn’t perfected, obsessively. She’s a gift, really.
@nomadine8513 күн бұрын
If you want to know how good she is live, here’s a list of what I call her “legendary live” performances. - wildflower (Amazon) - end of the world (bbc radio 1) - no time to die (Brit awards) - when the party’s over (Howard stern) - everything I wanted (Apple Music awards) - bitches broken hearts (Vevo live) - my future (official live) - copycat (mahogany) - you don’t get me high anymore (bbc radio 1) - I love you (Greek theatre) - your power (late show) - Billie Bossa nova (official live) And some additional ones that are a bit unusual but show off her range - have yourself a merry little Christmas (SNL) - fever (Hollywood bowl) - bad (like a version)

She's definitely great live! I get to go see here in less than 2 weeks and I can't wait. You should check out the Oscar winning Bond theme she and Finneas (her brother) did - No Time to Die - live at the Brit Awards, and then the Oscar winning song for Barbie - What Was I Made For - live from the Oscars. She's phenomenal in both and at the end she's so humble. When she gets the standing ovation for the Barbie song, her jaw drops, as if she can't believe that it's for her amazing singing.
@x.Teegz.x3 күн бұрын
That is Finneas her brother. They are very close and he helps write all of Billie's songs. Fun fact! Finneas wrote billie's first song, Ocean Eyes. Then asked her to sing it when she was only 13 and they put it out. Then she became popular from that and made her first album 'Don't Smile At Me". She is now 22 and has 4 albums. She is so talented!

Word is, brother Finneas is not touring with her this time, although he showed up for the Madison Square Garden show. She’s got a vocal coach now helping her not shred her voice. As a result some high notes are in her grasp, so she has said.

If you do Wildflower, do BOTH the album version (first) AND the Amazon Live in the Studio version. Or go the other way around... but I suggest hearing the album version first. You're mind will be BLOWN either way on the Amazon Live version... I promise. You mentioned "jazz voice" in this video. You hit the nail on the head and will see it in the Amazon Live version. React to that and you'll have an instant sub from me. But, talking about Jazz, you might want to react to her singing "Fever" with the Count Basie Orchestra. Oh hell - if you really want to go on a journey into Billie's "genre-less" music - do it. You'll be shocked, surprised, amazed, and sometimes just floored... I promise. But just reserve judgment until you've listened to at least five songs from across her entire career...

My favorite song on the album (and I love the WHOLE album, front to back no skips). It's heartbreaking, and the breakdown at the bridge is perfection. The arrangement from the bridge is also at the end of "Skinny" as an orchestral outro, and in "Blue" which is the last song on the album. Also, yep, it is Finneas! Please fall down the Billie rabbit hole, I'll watch every video (at least twice) if you do. LOL
