To change from a big belting section to soft section…has to be the greatest I have ever seen in breath control… extraordinary talent… crazy arrangement..very Beatles like…. Which she has said she loves .. but but I hope this album gets all the awards it deserves… talent talent talent … I am 58 but I am just discovering her music and her brother’s production talent… love love love.. it.. I clap at my iPad every time I hear this …and it’s LIvE… live…

I’m 51 and feel exactly the same way. She is absolutely incredible. She and Finneas are young legends. It’s so amazing to see them grow up and even more into their gifts. 😊🥹💜

Finneas and her are a dream duo. They often say they are each others best friend and biggest supporter. They speak so highly of each other. You might have catched it that he immediately started clapping for her. It's heartwarming and them having a fall out seems unfathomable. Really appreciate your thoughts, I am eager to watch your journey
@davopopi17182 ай бұрын
You’re in for a really wonderful journey with this music. Right from the beginning she and Finneas have been spectacular live performers. They have of course gotten technically better as they’ve been learning and maturing, but the magic was there right from the start. If you’re at all interested in some very early performances, check out their cover of Micheal Jackson’s song “Bad”, or the live acoustic version of her early song “Copycat”. They are electrifying very early performances that tend to have people’s jaws dropping.

I love her lighting and visuals. I went to her concert recently and was super excited to what her songs look like to her because I believe both Billie and Finneas has synesthesia.

I’ll watch all Billie reactions. You can’t go wrong with any of her music.
@sandraschumacher58792 ай бұрын
Thanks for the great reaction, I can't understand why she is so underestimated because for me she is a true artist and not just a fantastic singer. I would like to recommend the studio versions of the new album to you, they are so special. Then there are songs that, in my opinion, get a little "short-changed" by many people because they don't get the attention they deserve, maybe you'll enjoy them too. Yes, for me she is a very special person who has absolutely no need to hide. I think she shines from the inside as well as from the outside. Actually, I should be embarrassed at the age of 51 and my children call me late puberty because of it, but she fascinated me from the start. Thank you for giving her your time. When I see reactions like that from people who appreciate them, it's always a bit like seeing it with a friend. I have to apologize for my English because it's not that good, but I hope you can understand it. For me it is the number 1 picture, it is the most authentic. I'll definitely be there if you do more of her.
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl2 ай бұрын
I think your English is great. I'm 62 and all of the younger artists I am discovering just give me hope for music to remain in the hands of true artists rather than AI. I think also that younger artists think more in terms of video, sound and artistry even more than artists from the past.

8:29 Billie has synethesia, she is very involved in the lighting and colours in her production. Colour is very important to her I believe Finneas has it too but he is more involved in the sound production than visuals

They do different tracks for Billie which makes it sound like a backup singer. They lay them on top of each other. But Finneas does sing with her, very low, but they sound so good together.

:) thank you for the reaction!!! I love love Billie! yes, she comes off natural and down to earth.. but she also is a hard worker and proud of her work :) a solid young lady, I think also because she is secure in the love of her parents and brother even if the world can be cruel and hard sometimes. i love all her songs, and this current album Hit Me Hard and Soft must be my favorite as i've been listening to it all the time from start to finish since it came out in May... all the songs in it are sooo different kinda to each other, but soooo good.. and The Greatest is my most favorite from the get go.

Great reaction, cheers. I had the pleasure of catching one of her NYC shows from the side of the stage this week and the whole set was phenomenal, especially this song. Finneas was in the audience and accompanied her for the last 3 songs (not this one) but she has a great band and backup singers. It was a truly mesmerizing set. Around 26 songs, great diversity of styles and performances. Interestingly, she cut probably 12 fairly big singles from the setlist so she could really go to town on wonderful album cuts like The Greatest, which was a brilliant creative decision imho - the older stuff is great fun but the newer material is where she shows her "greatest" artistic sophistication imho. Thanks again for your thoughtful reactions.

there's a light backtrack of adlibs and the strings are probably canned as well unless they're synths. the overall vocal is very similar to the album version, but there are also a lot of differences in inflection. people think she's lip syncing the loud part because of the distance of the mic. they should look up microphone proximity effect. it's just a way to add natural compression. her mic is hot enough to pick that up no problem and her live sound engineer is worth every penny he makes.
@genealvivergara955Ай бұрын

In their Zane Lowe interview they said that they had a rough time with this album because, for the first time, they were out of sync. Billie was trying to figure “ shit “ out and Finneas kept trying to get her to be forthcoming. For the first time it was Billie who wanted to just push forward and Finneas wasn’t feeling it/ he wasn’t enjoying the process ( which had always been the other way around). They said they were stuck. And then this song “ happened “ and they said the rest of the album just unfurled itself ( or something like that). They are best friends and do argue - because they are siblings and human ones at that. In fact on her first EP , Don’t Smile At Me, they couldn’t agree on which version of a song to use - so they decided on including both ( WATCH = Finneas’ choice BURN = Billie’s). Billie has always had a beautiful voice but she’s said that over the past 2 years she has been taking vocal coaching/ lessons and has a much greater understanding and appreciation for her instrument- AND SHE IS HAVING FUN KNOWING THAT SHE CAN CONTROL IT IN WAYS SHE DIDNT OR WASNT ABLE TO BEFORE. I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but they both have synesthesia ( as does their father).I think it’s probably a contributing factor when Billie creates the album aesthetic, lighting and sets etc for her shows. I would love to see Billie live but I’m not up for going to an arena show solo ( husband hard pass on 20K “ kids” 😂). BUT…I just got my tickets to see FINNEAS for his third (solo) tour. I’m not a fan of defining an artist by a specific genre so I think I’d say he’s kind of a retro indie pop crooner 😂. ** Sorry about the “ yelling” caps, I got stuck on cap lock and was too lazy to go back.😂❤
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenlАй бұрын
Oddly, I'm glad the caps lock happened because it shows you took the time to type rather than this just being a cut and paste comment. Once I stopped crying because you yelled at me🤪, I really appreciated the background there. It was stuff I hadn't heard before and is appreciated. 😊

I feel like being a musician robs you of a true emotional experience. The first time I heard this song it broke me open until I was sobbing. It’s sad to watch it all go over your head.
