I've been a fan of yours for a long time and while I prefer metal core and genres of that nature to pop I gotta say... Billie Eilish blows me away. I mean she doesn't write bad music ever. She's one of those rare special talents and it's cool to see and hear.

Is this another Grammy winner? Is the album another Grammy winner? She is so much much better than swift…. She was more heavily involved in the production of this album with her genius brother…. Incredible song writers … as good as anything from the 60s and 70’s…

I agree, love your BiFi reactions. Billie considers this song the centerpiece, please do more of the new album tho they dropped it as a whole album listen with no pre-singles released. I think it's their best album. It shows the time and care they took to make it... Thank you Mr. JM!!

There’s an interview with Billie’s mixer and I think it’s like an houh long and I listened to the entire thing with fascination. I feel like he’s so overlooked in terms of his fine tuned and attentive precision as well as grasp of Billie’s vocals and needs in particular. The sound engineering discussed is so fascinating and comprehensive. Thanks for shouting him out, I’m unfortunately terrible with names but I love knowing about all these technical details that contribute to the phenomenon that is the quality of Billie’s music.

"I wish you were gay" is another jazz song of hers, especially live performances. "Bury a friend" is very Cab Calloway IMO. Of course , "Listen before I go" is practically a Billie Holiday song written by Billie Eilish.

Some people are critizing that she is lip singing... I disagree with this. There is a track of some sort because of all The vocal layers but having listened to the studio version many times, you can hear some small changes she makes on some of the runs, etc. What do you think? Love her, and this is my favorite on the album.

David, I like your reactions - but when you say 2023 (from Howie's miscue), I wondering - well, I wonder, where has David been - though it could be you are playing your own music in night clubs or elsewhere - I have a friend in a BLUE GRASS group - the WOODPICKS in Thief River Falls, MN and he hadn't heard of Billie Eilish - it's like they have their own music & venues to play and he's done it his whole life. DREW THORNTON is her FOH sound Engineer [channel: LEARN LIVE MUSIC "Billie Eilish's FOH Engineer, Drew Thornton (Podcast Episode 6 (June 15, 2023)]. I do not mind your pauses but the one from 3:54 to 4:55 was unusual in that there was quite a bit of silence as, I think, you were listening to and getting ready to play it one piano. P.S. NOT FOR A REACTION or REVIEW - I recommend listening to HIT ME HARD AND SOFT in your downtime - if you ever have any [and perhaps with headphones] to hear this 22 yr. old and her 26 yr. old brother creating something - in my view - very unique and special - "CHIHIRO", "BITTERSUITE" and "BLUE" are, I believe, awesome - so are you. As I listened to the last 2 again last evening [June 24, 2024] i wondered if something like Bittersuite or Blue could be translated into - I'm not a musician [played trombone and baritone and high school band and chanted the liturgy as a Lutheran minister (well and on pitch! ... Mitch] but a Blues or Jazz suite or piece - Bittersuite is not only a reference to a hotel SUITE but also a Musical SUITE, though almost no one makes that connection - a few do.

As a jazz musician, you might enjoy a young artist by the name of Angelina Jordan. She is 18 yers old, but i would suggest you start with her performances on Norways Got Talent when she was 7 years old and then work your way through to present day. Please don't be put of by the fact that she is so young as she is capable of performing at a level that is far above what her age would suggest.

I love this song, but I'm not sure this is actually a live performance. Go to the record, listen to the studio recording... 👀🤔 I discovered this song and it truly IS a powerfully moving composition and performance by Billie on record, but this is supposed to be live at the Late Show...? there is NO organic, "human" sounds or ...and ah, there you go at the end of the video literally saying it sounded like a record, its too clean, because it is NOT 100% live. If anything, the outro has live vox, but that's it. Go to the studio recording and listen side-by-side... and hey, again, not taking anything away from the song, it is phenomenal and i love Billie's voice, and have heard her bring the good when she's performed live but my "ear" has been around a while, you know... When she hits the first drop of the "greateeeeeeest" around your 9:36 mark, she's holding the mic too far from mouth to not have SOME kind of natural volume variance or textual or sonic change to be heard by us, there is nothing. Sounds like the sweeping reverb in the second verse too, exactly like the album version. They're playing with the studio backing track or it could be only Billie "live" over the studio recording...? It's a shame because she is so talented that I WANT to hear her sing it live! Maybe she/they had her reasoning 🤷

Now the music sounds horrible she was my fav singer for some reason like every singer HAS NO TALENT THEY JUST ASK THEIR DADDY FOR WORKERS TO TUNE THEIR VOICE AND GUESS WHAT😂 IT WENT VARIAL WITHOUT TRYING OR IMPROVE THEIR VOICES edited like not every singer but you get what I mean like greedy came out and it sounds good but when it’s live she sounded like a child
