@@lesgray8709 Indeed. By the way, this video is from the recording session (not a rehearsal) and besides her grandmother, Norwegian newspaper "Aftenposten" was also there with her. Accompanying a picture of her in the booth Aftenposten wrote "Recording her first album. Rainbow studio in Oslo, 23 November 2017: Angelina throws off her jacket and bag before she starts warming up her vocal muscles. The 42 professional musicians in the Norwegian Armed Forces' staff music corps eventually find their places, and conductor Lars Erik Gudim raises the baton. Producer and organizer Bjørn Morten Kjærnes sits in the mixing room." Angellina and the band returned to the studio the next day (Nov 23 2017) but that was it, so this video is either from Nov 22 or Nov 23. 🙂

Another masterful performance by an 11-year-old child prodigy. Thank you for your fantastic reaction and it's exactly what most reactors have said when they really understand who Angelina Jordan really is. Angelina was able to inhabit and infuse these great classic mentors into her DNA and mimicked their sounds and develop her own. Take on them at a very young age and I can imagine her doing these songs at 18 now how they would sound and I hope she does continuing with her Jazz classics because they are so fantastic to witness. I think this is what gives Angelina a big upside and uptake on many of the young Pop-Tarts of today because Angelina with her Jazz influence background is able to really convey the emotional attachment and soulful needs of the lyrics that she's vocalizing to her audience. She is the supreme storyteller as we all know and I think this truly is one of her greatest performances ever. I can't imagine anybody trying to even sing like this at that age and really understand what they are singing. I want to thank you for your continuing support of our beautiful barefoot princess. I don’t know of another twelve year old female singer that has this astonishing professional level ability. I’ve been a dedicated fan for seven years and I have never witnessed anyone like Angelina. We all run out of superlatives trying to describe what we are experiencing. Angelina is a force of nature. It’s an indisputable given that she is destined for greatness. Actually Angelina was 11 years old in the studio with her greatest inspiration and influence her grandmother Mery Zamani,Mery introduced Angelina to the old style music and Jazz when Angelina was 1 1/2 years old,I have to date attended four of Angelina’s live performance, in her home country when Angelina was 12 years old and again when she was 16 years old,also her concert in Portsmouth America and Angelina’s Las Vegas concert,cannot wait for Angelina’s new event,her stage presence is outstanding her live vocals phenomenal, great reaction thanks 🙏

If anyone wants to know why Angelina has said that, if not for Billie's legendary music finding her early in life, THERE WOULD BE NO ANGELINA JORDAN, this specific rendition of a Billie Holiday masterpiece reveals so many of the inflections, nuance, emotional releases, going from singing to talking within lyrical lines, breathy whisper-like releases and other elements that were all invented by Billie who was the most improvisational jazz singer of all time, which Angelina adopts here.

I just wish you reactors would make sure you knew the singer’s age before watching them perform. I don’t care what anybody says, it does make a difference in the reaction to know the age of the performer. For instance, you kept saying a twelve-year old, but she was only eleven when she did this. At twelve she probably wouldn’t have made all the faces to her grandma (or maybe she would have). One of my many, many favorites of Angelina. I’m always amazed that she is still reading the lyrics and can instantly interpret their meaning in song. Such a pro at eleven!

Actually Aron...she is 11 here. She recorded this for her Album "It's Magic" with the Norwegian Armed Forces band in 2017 at age 11. Album was released in 2018 (which I have) and is simply fantastic. There was a lot of talk about this phenomenon on social networks, she feels like a person older than her age. This is an innate ability, which is lost over the years. I believe she is only 11 years old here. This album was recorded before her 12th birthday. Her and the band did a live performance to introduce the album the next summer when she is 12. The album and the concert were done to celebrate the bands 200th anniversary. There is a video on Grandma Meri's channel of the band surprising her for her 12th birthday and throwing her a party.

Amazing. I've compared this version to Billie's back to back and although they are different, I can't say I prefer one over the other. This is one of her masterpiece performances. By the way, the soundtrack you just heard is the finished version from her It's Magic album (well worth buying!) but the video is of a rehearsal. You may have noticed one or two glitches where there was editing. There is a version of the rehearsal soundtrack itself somewhere, with muted band.

I am Norwegian. Most 12 year olds will not speak English very well in Norway. Angelina's main goal is to sing to the whole world. So she is fluent in English / American and of course Norwegian at age 12. I've heard her speak some words in Swedish. She did a Japanese song in Japanese. And she even did a Spanish song. Thank you for doing these reactions. I can assure you that Angelina is very special, in the most positive way possible. Fans love her.

Aron, I think that there are two versions of this recording session. One, this one you are watching , where the final music that is on her album It's Magic is overdubbed onto this phone video and another version where the actual cell phone audio is heard. Actually Aron you missed the opportunity to follow-up with Angelina Jordan rehearsal (I’m a fool to want you)? Most KZbinrs will show case them both back to back. This is to show us the studio version which you had already done, and the rehearsal which is an a-cappella version and likely performed within minutes of each other’s and in the same studio?
