I forgot I could also comment NOW ! Duhhh. It doesn't matter that it is only UNLISTED right now. I may have been the first to watch this, and TWICE 😆. It funny sometimes how things work out... I signed up for the Aaron membership to ask for BAD VALENTINE and NOBEL and other things and literally within hours BAM, here they are in front of me. 😃 Anyway . . . Aaron, I am soooooo Happy that someone got to you before I could regarding watching the Documentary Video I made vs. just watching the Performance of Angelina's NOBLE PEACE PRIZE TRIBUTE. I feel not only are YOU better for it, but your audience is also benefiting. As I always say, more than ANY other Angelina Performance, context is Everything when it comes to interpreting and understanding her Nobel Peace Prize performance of UNCHAINED MELODY. Understanding the story lines behind the Performance gives the viewer the ability to see beyond what stands on its own as a Beautiful Performance and gives the clarity to see the True Brilliance of what Angelina presented to us and just how profound the moment was for ALL parties involved. 😇Jim

@@A-AronReacts In fact Angelina thanked the Conductor for trusting her with her arrangement. And I must say I agree also, what a Master Piece from a 17 year old. You should check out her Portsmouth Concert performance of this song. It is different and is just as Epic, with a different message, God Bless!

Angelina has such an awareness of her art that she can contextualize it. Like a tailor makes a tailored suit, this performance was adapted to the situation of the imprisoned mother, sung in front of her children. Angelina is predestined already in her name. In music, but I would say in art in general, there will be a before and after Angelina Jordan Astar.

Agree, Jim -- rather than just showing a beautiful young woman in a white dress on a stage singing the heck out of a well-known song, the documentary puts this outstanding performance in context, and provides the background that really gives the production much more depth and meaning. Thanks again!

Angelina is the master of choices and the master of executing them. Where she went a capella at the end of the phrase on a one syllable word then wrapped it in that gorgeous hum just melted me. Then she does that run following this. They were the perfect touch, perfect placement, perfect execution---I don't think I will ever hear a better version of this song.

A-Aron, this was the best most emotional, surprised, and excited Angelina Jordan reaction I've seen from you so far. Given this comprehensive video that James put together for us, the Nobel Prize and honoree situation and the historical context and nature of the song, and Angelina's stellar delivery of it, this is understandable. Angelina has definitely arrived! This performance is way up there along with If I Were A Boy and Bad Valentine. She just keeps getting better and better going from superlative to superlative. And in a sense she is just getting started in terms of getting introduced to much larger audiences and becoming known as THE voice of this era. You are so right about "QUEEN" Angelina being an agent for change, for bringing healing and positive transformation into the world. Looking forward to your next reaction.

Thanks to James Thiel for the great job he did, educating viewers on the very important back story to this performance. Angelina's mission was to convey the love Narges Mohammadi has for her twin children, who are Angelina's age, as well as for the women of Iran and all the women of the world. I believe Angelina did a masterful job conveying those emotions.

Maybe you didn't stick to the plan of going entirely chronologically but you stuck to the point of that plan: To understand an artist in depth. AJ's singing is a gift that the world will always need and has always needed. I hope the 'rest of her life' continues to go along okay outside of singing. 😭😭😭😭😭 What exemplifies the experience of listening to her is that regardless of how many times you will listen to her sing the same song you get overwhelmed with emotion each time. Her humility is always evident and the soulfulness in her voice is genuine. Vocally and artistically she is supreme and when we consider 'who she is' as a kind, caring and loving human being it is no wonder why we feel so strongly about her. A-Aron, a quick note about Narges Mohammadi. At one point the Iranian government considered releasing Narges from prison but with one condition, that she discontinue speaking about the rights of women. Narges met with her husband and twin children and thought about the possibility of making the family whole again. But, she reminded them how strongly she felt about the issues and that she could never agree to that condition. So, she remains in prison. I know she went on a hunger strike but I trust she is fine (I'm not sure). One other comment about her, she said if released from prison she has no intention of ever leaving Iran. (Her husband and twins currently live in France.) Thank you A-Aron for a masterpiece reaction to this incredible video presented to us by James. I speak for all the angels when I say we were waiting for the moment you were going to react to her performance. I'm sure the majority (if not all of us) were crying with you during the performance. 😢😢

Hi A Aron, What I like about Angelina, She has grown up now into a beautiful young woman and has a nice figure and everything yet she doesn't flaunt it around like other singers that dress in slutty clothes and flash people with their bodies. Angelina always dresses with class in a nice proper dress and pearls in her hair or a flower. And she uses her Talent to make people feel a certain way that brings us to another dimension while she's singing. She's an Amazing young woman that every young girl should use as their role model not Miley or Britney Spears . Angelina's whole family did an amazing job raising her, It goes to show if ya let a kid run wild and do whatever they want ya get a Miley or a Britney. If ya put in the time to support instill values and moral's in a child ya get an Angelina ? The proof is in the Pudding ? God Bless her .Great Reaction A Ron.

The ability this girl has to captivate and move the people who listen to her is absolutely incredible, as is her sensitivity in choosing and interpreting the song for this ceremony. This performance of her is fascinating and wonderfully intimate, she reinterpreted this legendary song and adapted it perfectly to the emotion of the homage to the painful story of Narges Mohammadi! 💛🧡❤

This is Angelina Jordan the most extraordinary storyteller in my lifetime. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize Dec. 2023 Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway) I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all felt the real meaning of the words. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love and longing through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being.

Needless to say, by the time the event was over, many of us were just so moved and our eyes filled with tears about the plight of Narges Mohammadi and the beautiful rendition of the song by Angelina. Just a quick correction, Angelina is the first performer UNDER THE AGE OF 18 to be asked back to sing for the Nobel Peace Prize. I had a very small role in helping James put this video together Seeing the final product always makes me smile and happy that we Angels have James and some others who do things like this to add to the Angelina experience. Whenever you get to react to her songs that she did in Las Vegas, summaEngineer (James Thiel) and BigAngieFan (Chris Walker) are the 2 sources you will want to use. A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. As usual, a vocal master piece. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZbin went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZbin video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On KZbin, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”. Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. It Was a great concert, who was not and could regret it, a big mistake. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage. On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE.

For those of us that understand KZbin analytics, that number is Actually something over 1100 views in reality. hmmmm... this very well may out-perform BAD VALENTINE - we will see. Glad you liked this one Aaron. It was cool that you stopped a couple times to make note of the important points to the STORY that this video tells. THANKS ! 😇 Jim

Great Reaction A-Aron... There is a tiktok vid showing AJ working/arranging (co) with the Pianist and KORK Conductor on Nobel 2023 tweaking the music/lyrics to fit the desired mood of Love and Despair instead of Romantic... You can hear her speaking Nordic to Conductor and English to Pianist... Keep up the good work...Watch getting dehydrated... :-))))) There is a video on Steve Callaway Channel, I can't get it to copy!! It's called: Angelina Jordan Behind The Scenes! Genius at Work!
