Michal many thanks for yet another reaction to our barefoot angel. Angelina's grandma, Mery Zamani, was considered a prodigy in poetry and art and has certainly been a close loving mentor to Angelina. Mery it has been said got infant Angelina interested in jazz. Angelina spent countless hours listening to jazz, and other music, both at home and the local jazz cafe in Oslo. Born with incredible talent and raised in such a loving, intelligent environment, has nurtured the Angelina we now know and love. Angelina's other original songs are Oslo, Shield and Million Miles, each worthy of review. Personally, I believe, after hearing only the first song from her upcoming album, the album will turn the music industry in a new direction. Of course I can only be proved right or wrong after maybe 10 years to fully learn the true impact. We can say, we are witnessing potentially one of the all time best singer/songwriters.

She is a good and genuine kid. She has not tried to appear somebody that she is not. And that is one of the main reasons her fans love her.. Love your reaction. Michal, thank you for this wonderful reaction with Angelina on her birthday. I loved the analysis of her lyrics and the formulation of the song, really this is a song that tells a lot about her ... this is the life of an 11 year old girl who manages to ask herself these questions by offering her answers, not it is so normal for a child of that age, leaving us with the hope that he can always live his life with such awareness. 😊 😍 ... "Maybe life is a warm embrace / From someone safe / Maybe life's just a memory / We come, we see, we go" ... for me this is a wonderful poem ❤️

It’s just a beautiful combination of talents. The music behind Angelina is refreshingly real. And it’s done so well, standing on its own at times, but mostly backing off for the the vocals. Angelina’s lyrics are what we’ve come to expect: personal, introspective, and genuine. And this song is a definable old school style with Angelina giving us a voice that slides and glides so smoothly, making us understand the surprising lyrics perfectly. And after we’ve heard Angelina’s magical voice for most of the song, she gives us a complex, but smooth, extended run that seems like a perfected ending-until she repeats that complex run once more with an even more breathy, old-time slide to the finish. It’s real music. And that’s so unusual and refreshing. Beautifully done.

Very smart, insightful, and sensitive comments for which we thank you. This is one where I especially like Angelina's "borrowing"/riffing in Ella mode -- Fitzgerald, that is. It's Ella, always (at least for me) who brings out the best in Angelina. She's the very finest of students, Angelina is, and she'll perhaps one day be the finest of teachers to other young artists. Not that Angelina isn't wonderful in and of herself even now, and we of course love her for it. But she's just fourteen, and there's no not guessing that the best is yet to come.

Angelina has published three other original songs: *_"Oslo",_* a song about her home town, *_"Shield",_* said to be dedicated to her mother, and *_"Million Miles"_* which she wrote in memory of her late grandfather (recently released through Republic Records). She's credited some co-writers for the last two songs, but from what I understand, all lyrics are 100% her own and they seem to me as if they are based on entries in her diary. She's also been commissioned to do vocals on two other original songs: *_"Song For A",_* written by the Russian classical/crossover composer _Nico Cartosio_ especially for her to sing, and *_"Above The Water",_* a typical EDM song by the Norwegian production duo _TRXD_ (Truls Dyrstad & David Atarodiyan). I strongly recommend you listen to all these songs. The represent a wide variety of music styles and demonstrates that Angelina is not afraid to try new things.

Thank you, Miki, for yet another great Angelina reaction. You are right that the songs she has written are based on experiences in her short life, but she covers a lot of songs that express emotions about which a 7-8-9-10-11-12 year old girl should not know. It's amazing how she can tap into feelings that are way beyond her years. Here's one example. Her cover of Chris Isaac's "Wicked Game" is haunting and the expression of unrequited love is astounding. Wonderful reaction. I don't know all the details on how this song was written but she does play the piano the guitar and a couple of other instruments, I believe she wrote and composed the music to this by herself, please someone correct me if I am wrong. I know with her song "Shield" she had help with the composition, she was wanting a very Bond sounding song. With "Oslo" she wrote the lyrics on a plane, going back to Oslo after being in the U.S. but I don't know about the music on that one. I do know she can write lyrics quickly, she loves singing Amy Whinehouse songs but her mother does not like the lyrics, so she rewrote them, she has done that with Rehab changed it to about school. She also rewrote Back To Black, changed it to Back to Love, She also changed the lyrics to I'm No Good to I'm So Good, She also sang Valerie but I am not sure what she changed in that, I don't notice anything changed but I can't say I know the lyrics that much. She has been writing since she was very young in Diaries and has many of them, also she is the youngest published author at 9 written in Norwegian (English "Between Two Hearts) a story about why she sings barefoot and her grandmother did the art for the book. Her language ability amazes me, I have seen her reading English lyrics a 5, and English is her 3rd language. Her native language is Norwegian, she speaks Farsi, from her grandmother and they have stayed some time in the middle east, her grandfather was Japanese and her mother and uncle lived in Japan so she knows some Japanese and has sung in Japanese in Japan. and she is fluent in English. I was not reading English at 5 and it is my only language. And Happy 15th Birthday, Angelina!

I have never heard anything to suggest that anyone helped Angelina write this song or Oslo. Presumably Dylan and Ivan helped with the arrangement for this acoustic recording. Dylan Meeks (piano) has a Grammy nomination for a song he cowrote as part of the soundtrack to the movie “Into the Spiderverse“. If you Google him you’ll also see that he has absolutely mind-boggling piano skills. Shield was a collaboration (she wrote the lyrics and no doubt had considerable influence on the music and arrangement) and Million Miles had producers who obviously helped with the music and arrangement. But according to Republic Records it’s her composition.

This is willy-nilly about her everything‘s gonna be per side same residence Bellinger those piece of paper, Shannon think it was like a story about mold out and everything she did not really Nellie. It was just my everything is rehearsed and done to her where she wanted to say it. Yeah he does not do nothing on a random everything is like she looks like a we got to see how she performed the song how to write a bit of peace. If you want some more than just sing it he’s got another piano and she sang I wish I bring up the whole song also as a tribute to where she lives glorify Norway explain patriots hawk, grocery list how much you love Norway.
