Ripping off people to provide for others would not justify the end goal. The whole show was a dare bet ,not some noble cause and even the directors of Discovery had plenty of questions and concerns about how this show would play out. I suggest you read what discovery and its directors said and then reevaluate your generalization here. Second you say the advise is worth as much as a person has paid for it. Mr. Glenn here is where you actually did use your real name ... I too was in the loan biz. What bank will give you a loan using a fictitious name ? What bank will give you cash out to remodel your investment property again using a fictitious name? Here is your answer NO BANK... This is the part that you actually used your name and how much you are worth along with your credit.... That was the game changer for me and made me realize you didn't actually do it all using your fictitious name..... The average person could never do what you did when you purchased and financed the house that's why that part was kept out of the show....I watched the entire series 04/15/21 and was surprised how the most important part was left out....

Faking documents is a big crime in Pennsylvania which has numerous laws on the books to prevent such a practice. The state also has a mandatory sellers disclosure statement which means a person must disclose defective elements of a house such as mold, bad plumbing, ETC. The defects must be listed in writing before the home goes into escrow or the seller is liable for damages. Doing a flip and run lol!!!! not in this state.

@@mikepruitt9935 Alter Ego Glen Byrant probably just secured a loan from Glenn Stearns himself. During the show I never saw the actual copper piping replaced but they made a big deal about recycling the copper piping lol!!! A person coming in and replacing the piping would of cost at least 4-5k for galvanized piping likely far more like 10k plus and that would not have worked with the budget. Recall G.S sells the flip house for 75k then breaks down all the costs, then says he has enough to secure a first and last on the restaurant lease with 500 bucks left. He would of been ( - 3500 or more short with the piping cost) so they just omitted that part in the profit breakdown. Ooops! plot error . the math does not work. Also recall the I need to make 80k flip value or were dead business wise game over. The original first restaurant leased called Heckle and Jyde owner wants $5200 a month on a lease and that math does not work with the actual house flip profit so poof the owner backs out and this new place with a spanking brand new kitchen full of walk ins, reach ins ,deck ovens, custom dishwasher station, and more suddenly appears for lease at $4200.00 a month. $50,400 a year Now the math can work, LOL!!! That kitchen alone has 300K or more in equipment and the lease amount is absurd!! A owner would not take 6 years of payment ( 6 X 50K=300k) just to recover his equipment costs. A more real lease for the restaurant would of been like 8K a month, 96k a year so the owner can recoup his investment in 3 years. The lease also has the costs of the agent at high costs for this type of commercial real estate transaction. I own restaurants and can assure you that 300k is a low estimated value on the equipment. Its just how the show works with all this alleged buy cheap and sell for max profits hype. Back to the original house buyer , that buyer will have to have some paperwork done and have it filed and it does require the real sellers name. Making a false name up as the selling party is a crime in Pennsylvania, The house buyer also never gets the mold report and the real estate company hired to sell the house does not, its G,S / AKA Glenn Bryant playing agent. Glen Bryant is a guy with nothing flipping his way up, so why is he negotiating like a realtor? He is not suppose to have this knowledge he is just a guy with a $100.00 bucks, a phone and a old truck. Again plot Error and actions that could actually get you arrested and or sued . Discovery and its directors never sat down and really thought this through and when a problems comes like a mention here, they just create miracles to keep the show going or omit portions that would of occurred in a real life situation. Its actually dangerous in that people might get very wrong ideas and try to duplicate such events. G.S is a rip and run guy in real life bailing on his employees and ripping off over 300 companies like Willingham trust who he owed 200 mil to. He hurt others in other companies not just his own firm going bankrupt over extending himself. The timing is also bizarre. Your in a corporate chapter 11 bankruptcy and fighting to keep your company it goes down, but a reality show is something you want to do? You have throat cancer and recovering but you want to live in a truck freezing? So why do it? The deal is he got into a dinner party brag bet with rich friends who called his bluff. A trading places type bet theme where G.S does do some of the events but most is very staged. I write all this to make people aware this is indeed a reality show and not try to duplicate these events at home as depicted in the series. You could lose major resources get yourself in deep trouble and blackball yourself within a community and its business's. Take care

Answer I teased him a little bit and he could not use (anything) contacts,anything". If he was actually living in a truck in the cold of Erie PA as depicted with his ongoing throat cancer recovery, why would his wife be teasing him? OOPS!!! Mindy is not so bright. Mindy is a actor herself and both appeared in the Discovery Chanel series "The Real Gilligan"S Island". Irritated but amused she called his bluff and he blew his wad that night .They have always done some kind of "DARE BET" since. " Yo Ho a pirates life for me" ironically fits G.S well, its who he really is. Obviously show is not real, but the bet was kinda honored but not really . All he did was front a restaurant like a 1000 other rich guys do and the restaurant he chose was set up prior to the shows filming. The sale of the place was recorded and the transaction listed as required by PA law. Guess he never figured someone would never look. lol!!!! He passes out his Underdog BBQ sauce to friends and a bottle even appeared on a T.V show about John Elway and his home. Elway was one of the guys calling his bluff at the dinner party that lead to this show. Nice GAG G.S ! Every part is true lol!!! No wallet no ID? Even if we can believe the absurd value of the car flips which don't occur in ERIE, we have to question the house loan that funds the whole deal to buy a restaurant. How you secure a loan to flip a house with no valid ID and go through the escrow process. Using a fake ID is a crime deceiving the lender.. Also In real life if a house that had mold as depicted in this T.V series, would leave the seller liable for not disclosing the mold . A mold clean up company would still have to disclose the house had mold and would dramatically change the buyers price and or willingness to buy at all. MOLD IS A MAJOR DEAL IN REAL ESTATE!!! G.S says he is stuck with the home he has put 10k money into.. Stearns a mortgage CO billionaire no less lol! He can't reveal his identity but any real person would have sued the pants off the selling party. Its a crime to sell property you know had mold. Pennsylvania does have a law that does not require sellers to have a lawyer in the home selling transaction. but the seller must disclose defects and it has to be in writing. Also note the defects in the houses copper pipe which G.S just laughs about and takes to a recycling center. That info on plumbing as well must be clearly disclosed . Pennsylvania has a Sellers property disclosure statement established by the state real estate commission and its taken seriously!!! This house would of been condemned as unsaleable given its vast damages but the property could be sold. Its also as mentioned utter B.S that G.S would buy a house not knowing all this. This is his specialty!!!! Restaurant wise the show is comical!!! There are multitudes of laws and city ordinances that are not mentioned and the basis seems to be that all these people are just going to put in base equity as partners for a man that does not know the roles of what a front of the house or back is responsible for. Over time he learns a few basics but its damn obvious he is fronting the place with money to keep it going. There are a multitude of costs involved in running a BBQ place and the equipment. Mostly a place like this decides what food they want then build the machinery around it or more often take the existing machinery and build a menu to fit it. but a simple smoker is not enough. You would need so much more to compete with the areas local BBQ restaurants which G.S says there is but 1 lol!!! Every part of course is true. Just fudge the facts and offer nonsense

Yeah. We can all agree the documentary was too much polished. I mean, it's meh. The message it delivers is right, the thing that it shows there are opportunities to leverage (such as events or side jobs) and tools for help (like incubators and other startup stuff) clearly show if you search for the correct path you can do it. I think they should have put a disclaimer before, like on Bear Grylls, where stuff can be real but in reality is a planned show. Like the housing deal and the renovation. It's a way to profit in life, but sure you have to do it right under your country's laws and taxations. He may have really put himself 100% on the job and just leave the interesting clips for the final cut, but this is clearly not a tutorial and I hope nobody consider that so short and easy cause otherwise he might skip something and get a fine or something like that later. And btw, I really sure when he said he got a loan for the house it was based on his credit score. A normal person would have a really worse one, with fees and other costs

I wouldn't say he started from nothing. He had more than most. If he abandoned all his wealth with no guarantee of returning to it, that's 'starting from nothing'. If he failed, he could still go back to his life before and throw a million to the business.🤯 We don't have that. We don't own a home and live like many people in America who have worthless degrees and huge college debt, children, disabilities, and growing medical bills while still broke. We are the working poor. He didn't have debt, bills, health problems or health insurance to worry about, he had a working truck, $100, a coat, and faith that he did it once and could do it again. The point of the show was that knowledge and experience counts. Knowledge of financing, lending, and mortgages is super valuable. He must have given his right name on those documents because they would have check his credit score like normal people and it would be perjury if he didn't. My husband and I have no safety net and can't afford to change it. At this point, if we lost what we had because of medical problems, which is highly likely, we would be homeless until we could move in with relatives. But the unemployment percentage here is 2%, so finding a good job is very difficult now. In Hawai'i, you can't just flip cars or houses quickly for cash. It's a small expensive island 🤨.

How about GS's business plan to build a national chain BBQ product when the town of ERIE PA is community driven and against everything national. LOL!!! Further he thinks the people would work on seat equity for a cause they don't support" a national product". As such the premise of this show is blown. GS is also in bankruptcy with with orange country real estate.

G.S is a P/T T.V reality actor and actors like to act. Maybe in his next acting performance G.S can try to impersonate human with moral ethics and respect but hats a huge ask.

Hum i'm wondering how he paid his health care medical bills an throat cancer medical needs costs for the series? oops! he just left that out then brags how he pulled this off. Wife and actress Mindy bimbino or was that bourbon'oed' comes in and adds nothing to this. No dear this isn't the Real Gilligan's island part #2 its a attempt to ask some real questions and adding more B.S does not add anything. it almost borders on a CBS survivor show after show type were we meet the families of the contestants.

I'm not stupid. I'm a millionaire. I watched the first episode of this and was jazzed to possibly get some cool tips from this guy who's a BILLIONAIRE but then I watched the second episode and you know what I got out of it? DECEPTION. If he becomes a millionaire in 90 days, it'll be from desperation and deception. Becoming one doesn't have a timeline. I understand that he's trying to see if the dream still exists, and it does, but not in 90 days. Is he trying to look like a super hero and make us look stupid? To get something really cheap in order to sell it for quite more than what you deceived a seller into giving it to you for, is quite frankly, unethical. You can't just buy a car and resell it just like that. It takes time to sign over a title. There was no bill of sale, just cash handed over. You can't do that. Maybe for a washer or dryer, but not for a car. I'm not sure if I want to go even further with this show. None of it is realistic and in the end, he's LYING to people to get what he wants in order to prove a point. In other words, he's using people and he even admits it! There is something deeply concerning about this. I'd also like to say that when he came into Erie, he had a plethora of information and decades of wisdom gained from his experiences that your average joe doesn't have in order to become rich in 90 days. Yes, becoming a millionaire takes hard work and motivation but it also takes character and moral ethics. In other words, you have to have a conscience to NOT do what this guy is doing. It's wrong on so many levels.

B Richards lol haterrrrrr I have friends who literally do the things you’re saying is “impossible” just to make ends meet each month while they’re building their own dreams 😂 This stuff is possible.. I don’t know about the scripting of his particular show, but my dude it’s soooo possible
@basha08105 жыл бұрын
@@Loreleiiii We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Sorry. People that do what your friends do just to make "ends meet?" You can't trust people like that. They'd sell out their own mother. This is about ethics and character. This show basically says that if you can swindle and use people, you can be a millionaire. I don't live by those standards. At the end of the day, I sleep at night. Where does this guy sleep? In a cold truck, freezing his butt off, in the emergency room as a result and then in an empty apartment for 3 months. LOL.
