Vikes were a good team with Cousins BUT the year prior to his arrival they went 13-3 behind an excellent defense and solid Case Keenum play, experienced the Minnesota Miracle win over NO and made the championship game , losing to the eventual SB champion Eagles. The first year after he leaves they’re 14-2 competing for the number one seed behind a incredible Darnold season, a tremendous group of weapons, a brilliantly coordinated Flores defense(2nd in scoring and turnovers generated), and a great coaching job by KOC. There’s no reason why they can’t make or win the SB. Credit to the organization that consistently wins despite its unfortunate postseason resume….while also recognizing they’re objectively better without Cousins….this isn’t a fluke. His career will be bookended by two seasons that outstrip his entire tenure.

The Rams don’t even have much of a home-field advantage. I’ve been to Sofi for a Rams game. It was against the Cleveland Browns, and even the Browns were able to have somewhat of a fan presence in that stadium. Plus the Vikings aren’t near the same team then as they are now.

Rams have no reason to fear either Minnesota or Detroit. They know they can compete with both teams and they already beat The Vikings at home earlier in the year. Resting their guys is the right move by McVay

No, they should definitely if not fear, then be very intently concerned about the Vikings. Who the Vikings were when the Rams beat them is not who the Vikings are now as they’ve hit their stride. You must also remember that the Rams don’t have an overwhelming home field advantage. So I could definitely see either team going to Los Angeles If the Rams do win the division, and half the audience being lions or Vikings fans. I like the Rams but I genuinely believe the Vikings have a Super Bowl run in them.

Rams defense also matches up relatively poorly to what Washington and Green Bay like to do on offense. There is no NFC matchup that I think it particularly bad for the Rams, not enough to value the seeding over health at least.
