@@D2jspOFFICIAL No. Actually he would have probably slammed the movies because he always thought that his books shouldn't be depicted. He always wanted them to stay true to the imagination of the readers.

He is such an absolutely perfect Pippin. I'm a purist about the books, but honestly he's gotta be the best Pippin you could have made, including him being a musician and a goofball all the same. A writer of simple songs, in the same tradition that Tolkien was writing his poetry for. Honestly, we should redo the movies with Billy Boyd writing a bunch of the songs and singing them! Lol.
@goofball944700 Жыл бұрын
@@igorpodemski9596 as much as i love Tolkien and his son, they were wrong in thinking that the books couldn't be depicted in movie style. They most certainly can, they just didn't know that anyone could ever make the story a reality in film. And seriously, people would be asking for a movie of the stories that Tolkien wrote if Peter Jackson never made the trilogy. So I am very thankful that Jackson did what he did. It is still a great story regardless of what was cut out or changed. You should be grateful that people like Jackson made Tolkien's story come to the big screen. The books will always, always, be amazing and the movies only elevate the messages that Tolkien wanted the readers to know.
@igorpodemski9596 Жыл бұрын
@@goofball944700 Tolkien was alive during a time when not a lot of people had tv's. There was no internet. Only books. So you can imagine that he didn't have a good opinion about the new technologies. He hated movies.

You can see, hear, and FEEL the emotion Billy put into the song! Such a peaceful and yet, melancholy song. It takes a LOT for a song to evoke an emotional response from me but, this song got me right in the feels! I am constantly playing a version of this on my Irish Whistle in C for my kids. I even wake myself singing it in my sleep at times. A pure, simple, and beautiful song!

Beautiful song, not the best recording environment but still tugs a tear from my eyes. I just lost my younger brother to West Nile Virus. He was in a coma for ten days. We had to turn off the respirator because there was no brain activity after the virus shut down his heart by killing his autonomic nerve system. My hand was on his chest when he let out his last breath and his heart beat for the last time. Merry Christmas, little brother. I never though you would go before me. Tell Mom and Dad and our little sister Cynthia 6 months old, I'll be with you shortly. But not yet, not yet.
