Billy Bragg gives me hope by reminding me that poor & working class people have brilliant ideas & still know how to have fun.

Very good version of Bob Dylan's Times, They Are ... ( 1963 ) ... thanks for clear words about Trump and his kind of ( sick and dangerous ) ideology ... Think that the whole concert woudl be as great as so many others. Which I have heard from or of B B ... Thank you so much for sharing it !

I think your title should say February 2017; not 2016.

What to sing at Donald Trump’s inauguration...what a depressing thought. Thank goodness it is not a 2021 decision.

how can you be a billy bragg fan and a bigot ?

You don’t deserve to listen to Billy Bragg and trust me, he doesn’t want you as a fan.

They are your brothers and sisters; that you don't recognise it doesn't alter the fact, it just diminishes your humanity.

I am a Huge Billy Bragg fan!!! But some of the things he says are way off base and shows his ignorance especially in our political system. He is so much for workers I wonder what he thinks about an economy that has more job openings than it does workers available. I don't hear any props, just negativity!! But I still love him!! Great writer and musician!!

@@connells36 . For decades there has been a concerted effort on behalf of the corporate and media owners to demonise the working people and dismantle the unions and labour activists. Their success is shown by the naivete of your comment. The economic figures have been manipulated to show growth, when in fact the majority of the wealth, rather than being invested in future development, has been squirrelled away in off-shore tax havens. The employment and job figures have been massaged, hiding the fact that most of the new jobs are low-income or part-time, with little in the way of job security, pensions or benefits. Both Democrats and Republicans in the US, and Labour and Conservative in the UK, have been guilty of selling out the public and turning most of us into serfs for an elite oligarchy. As for the comment from @Kargocult, Muslims are just the latest victims to be chosen to distract the gullible from the real culprits. In the past Jews, Blacks, Chinese, Irish, Native American, Hispanics, etc, etc, have all been used to divert and divide people along religious, ethnic and racial lines. Anything to stop people seeing the truth.
