WOW! That's me on piano and backing vocals. What an amazing opportunity touring with Billy! Every night hearing 'Shirley' etc... Then I went on to help out with his albums 'Don't Try this at Home'. He's a National Treasure, it was such a dream performing with him - such an inspiration! Total respect!

Tender Comrade Ex Serviceman here, Returned as well. Not gay. Standing in my kitchen balling my eyes out. This man's a true gem. Can't wait until my own kids, daughter and sons are old enough to explain the importance of such an amazing piece of work. Been a Billy Bragg fan for nearly 30 years and never heard that song. The Union makes us strong by the way.

Yep…similar story here. In the mid-‘80’s I was a student at Penn State (I was a BIG fan of The Clash and had grown up listening to my parent’s folk music) when I first heard Billy on campus radio WPSU. “Who is this guy that combines elements of punk with folk?!”, I wondered…I’ve been a fan ever since!
