Nice to see David Attenborough in his younger days laughing so naturally, and being humorous and sociable. I have followed him since his Zoo Quest tv series and books in the 1950s and 1960s. I think he was happier then.

What depressed me was reading an interview from 2 weeks ago here in Ireland from Billy where he said political correctness was a good thing and that he’s sorry for the way he acted over the years. My memory of Clive James will always be dominated by his “Clive James On TV,” program from the 1980’s . Sadly all three of these legendary gentlemen are at a certain age now and this great generation is passing. i don't know, attenborough may now be the cuddly, comforting nature guy but in the '60s he was controller of BBC2 when all the 'radical' satirical comedy was kicking off: TW3, Frost Report etc. anyhoo, he obviously has an affinity with billy (and clive) here, so the 'fun' david comes out to play
