What he said about the pay difference between acting and stand-up is interesting. He said stand-up pays better, buts that's mostly in the UK and Ireland. I heard from a comedian in America that they try to do acting jobs when they can because you hardly get anything for stand-up in America.

+Lazy Spark I suppose it depends who you are.. Billy could fill a 100'000 seater stadium and so could Eddie Murphy. Billy was in the Hobbit for about 5 minutes and prob spent weeks in make up for about half a million quid. Now that's a lot of money but if he done a 30 night tour he would prob earn a good 10 million.

Billy has said Stand-up is where he makes his money. He appears around the world not just the UK and Ireland. He doesn't get a lot of money from film acting, as he tends to die a lot in films.

I was never a fan of Billy through my teens & twenties. Then, In my mid thirties I understood where he was coming from and I saw him for the comedy Guru that he is. BUT........ Near the beginning of the interview he said he hated people coming up to him and telling him jokes, Which is ironic, Considering he became a star overnight when he first appeared as a guest on Parkinson and told a joke that some random bloke had told him in the street. !!!! (search for Parkinsons last ever chat show, where Billy & Michael talk about it, and show the original footage).

The Host Rove should stick with kindergarten shows or romper-room, it would better fit with his level of maturity and intellectual ability. He looks like a bit of a fool and far out of his depth here. Hard to watch and not cringe at Rove trying so hard but failing. I was searching for Billy Connolly when I found this.
