I read the text messages, Billy was on point, Darcy hadn't been on tour in 20 years. He just wanted to make sure that the tour was a great tour for the fans he wanted to ease her in until she was good. She totally blew it.

Random observers don't quite get this. Playing a song in your couch is VERY different than a giant full length tour with potentially giant expectations. And what happened was very clear, D'Arcy just couldn't handle it... yet.

When he says it wasn't what Darcy wanted it to be, it was because she was being asked to be a stand-in essentially, not her previous full role which she rightly deserves and for Billy not to see it that way as well is the mistake. Last I checked, she managed 13 years in a band that toured a ton and didn't miss a single show.

bottom line is she would've needed to go out there and meet with them just so they could look at her and get a vibe to see what state she's in right off the bat before even considering band shit......the fact that he offered a place on the tour to her sight unseen with her drugged out past is so nice and sort of stupid really....he is the one that kept this whole thing going for the last 20 years.....he wants it to work......she will obviously just leave if it doesn't and he'll be left with the fallout......i love her but she might be a little too immature to handle coming back and in reality it could destroy her completely. bands might be more personal than families because its all conditional on your talent/personality level and whether its WORTH dealing with it.

If you are wanting the original D'Arcy, forget it. She is not the same person she was all those years ago. Read her interviews and look at her recent photos. All I see is a bitter shell of a human who was once part of a great '90s rock band and who made her own choices to go down the path that she did. Nothing more. The Pumpkins will be fine without her.

NEOREV 😂😂😂 ok then billy has also revealed in his live journal that Darcy was useless years later I agree they have good chemistry and I'm sure every personality in a band can help stir the head songwriter in a specific direction or have the write taste in music and help the songwriter choose which songs bring out the best of them but at the end of the day Billy Corgan has written 95% of the songs, so it sounds like maybe you think billy wouldnt have written 1979 or today, without Darcy hahaha whatever floats your boat 😂☺ do some further research in the live blogs and more of his interviews
