I had forgotten about this song. Perfect for tonight as I need to cry a little. I can no longer cry just because I feel sad. Last time I said to my dad I have been doing good made a life built a life of for several years as a full time livaboard/cruiser he said when is the next time you go walkabout going to be. Soon after Hurricane Irma hit. I left and have been living homeless and isolated from family ever since. I still fight for survival. I still try to earn my way. But I no longer care if I'm alone succeed or fail. Dreams and desires are passing thoughts. Desired to be sure but never chased wholeheartedly. I initially aimed for One voice by billy Gilman. From when he was young. Because I cling to the time when we believe in the world. And cry because I realize it's not reality

La chanson me procure toujours des larmes d'émotion, la rencontre du père et de son fils, est à chaque fois une boule d'émotion dans ma tête. Quelle belle interprétation, et quelle douceur ! Je l'écoute toujours avec grand plaisir. It's always a great plesure to listen to this song. The singer is so cute and so sweet, and when the boy meets his father it's make me cry each time. Great talent great song really ! from France

I found out when my mom and my “dad” were in a fight. He picked that time to tell me I wasn’t his son. All my youth I believed he was. I will never forget that day. I will never forgive him for using that knowledge to hurt me and my mother. He went on to adopt me a few years later. Against my wishes as I told the judge. Never had a relationship with him much after I turned 18. He and my mom divorced 19 years ago now. He passed away this last summer at 75. We never did repair that relationship. Went on to meet my biological father and I wish I had a happy ending to this story, but he was an awful person too. I played this song so many times after I heard it dreaming about meeting my dad. He knew all along and didn’t want anything to do with me. I have since moved on and married and have a wonderful life with two amazing kids. So in reality joke’s on them. They never got to meet their amazing grandchildren.

Oklahoma Billy Gilman Suitcase packed with all his things Car pulls up, the doorbell rings He don't want to go He thought he'd found his home But with circumstances he can't change Waves goodbye as they pull away From the life he's known For the last seven months or so She said we found the man who looks like you Who cried and said he never knew About the boy in pictures that we showed him A rambler in his younger days He knew he made a few mistakes But he swore he would have been there Had he known it Son we think we found your dad in Oklahoma A million thoughts raced through his mind What's his name, what's he like and will be be Anything like the man in his dreams She could see the questions in his eyes Whispered "don't be scared my child I'll let you know, what we know About the man we found, he looks like you And cried and said he never knew About the boy in pictures that we showed him A rambler in his younger days He knew he'd made a few mistakes But he swore he would've been there Had he known it You always said that this was something that you wanted Son it's time to meet your Dad in Oklahoma One last turn he held his breath 'Til they reached the fifth house on the left And all at once the tears came rolling in And as they pulled into the drive A man was waiting there outside Who wiped the worry from his eyes Smiled and took his hand And he said I'm the man who looks like you Who cried because I never knew About that boy in pictures that they showed me A rambler in my younger days I knew I made a few mistakes But I swear I would have been there had I known it Never again will you ever be alone Son welcome to your home in Oklahoma.
