He's making money with his devoted customers, which is so unusual for a relatively low-traffic corner, which is amazing... It's the crooks that charge 10 bucks that struggle.. For many, the cost for street dog ingredients is probably a buck, and he doubled it..He is a smart businessman..kills me when they charge 5 bucks for a bottle of water, when you know it cost them 50 cents, probably less if they picked it up at Costco..You’d think it would cost more to buy ingredients nowadays..another reason he's doing well..everyone’s raising prices, whether they need to or not..He obviously didn't, and people love getting a bargain..
@Jawwaad1111 Жыл бұрын
Great post and he’s definitely spending probably 20 cents or less on a water. The Target I shop at always has 24 packs of Deer Park water on sale for $5 and like you said, if he shops at Costco, it’s probably cheaper. Just selling a water for $1, nets him 80 cents profit.

Where I work there was an old Italian guy named Remo who ran a deli that just closed down last year. He would do dirty water dogs on Thursdays 2 dogs with the works and a soda for $6. He never took a penny from me and would slap my hand away anytime i took out any money. Last Thursday he was open when I got my dogs I shoved a $20 in the jar and ran. Those old school guys just wont take tips and will do it the best for 50+ years.
