Rutts hut hot dogs are legendary. I haven't had every hot dog in the country so I cant call them the best. But since I ate my first one 58 yrs ago, I never felt the need to try and top them. In fact, the best texas weiner was right across the street at Bertlins. They closed maybe 50 yrs ago. I now live 3 hrs away at the shore, but I still make that relish at home. It used to be better, in fact. But it is still amazing. It was once called German Cabbage relish. Its mostly cabbage. And the secret ingredient is Turmeric. Mustard seed too. Keep the reviews coming. Its nice to see you review places I've been too. I especially liked the Borgata Buffet review! And thanks for not wearing an Eagles hat during this review! Joe D

My mother graduated Clifton high school in 1946 and was married to my father in 1948 and the first place they had their date was Rutts Hut… Me personally my favorite hotdog is Hank franks on Route 46 E. I used to work at HONEYWELL and Teterboro for many years and I would stop there a couple of times a week before I went to work or after I was leaving work… I also met Jason Biggs there the star of all the American pie movies at Hanks Frank’s❤

My Mom and Dad's first date was here too! They married in 1950. We'd eat here every Saturday night so my Mom didn't have to cook. This was always my favorite hot dog. Last time I was in Jersey, my sister and I went here. Also good were Venezia's, Callahan's, and Hiram's. Lots of other places were decent. I grew up on hot dogs. I was 19 before my first Burger King or McDonalds. Deep fried dogs are awesome. I would have opened a place here in Florida if I could have gotten a Rutt's Hutt franchise.

I grew up all over being a Military brat , born in the Midwest . We always put beans in the chili , I think originally it started as a filler to make the chili go farther when you had less meat or a lesser quality meat . I did live in Texas a couple years and enjoy the red chili as well , but there the beef is more abundant and a bit less expensive . I like a good slaw dog and chili dog . Never been a fan of vinegar or anything pickled so I never use or eat relish , just a personal preference . Enjoy the channel since I came across it a few weeks ago

Right up the street maybe 1000 ft away is a great brewery (Ghost Hawk) to help wash those dogs down., or if you want more food there's a Rumba Cubana further up the road. great food!

Just had Ruts Hutt for first time a few weeks ago, excellent Hot Dog, probably the best relish I’ve ever had, but my favorite hotdog in Jersey in my opinion is at Hiram’s Roadstand in Fort Lee. First stop on the Anthony Bourdain food trail. You’ll love it UA, also get their amazing burger sliders too. Also, both Rutt’s and Hiram’s use Thumanns as their hotdog supplier, the best hot dog for deep frying money can buy.

I like Hirams better too. My uncle makes it a point to try as many hot dog places as he can, and I tag along when I can. We grew up walking distance from Hirams & Callahans (rip) and took them for granted as great. We drove some place in NY State that was supposed to great and it was sad actually. I'm sure there are other good regions for hot dogs, but NJ does them justice. Rutt's is great, Cubby's too, but Hiram's is the best.

For a rivaling hot dog, I highly recommend trying Texas Weiner 1 in Plainfield NJ that's been in business since 1924 or J & G Texas Weiners in Dunellen NJ since 1977. Their hotdogs don't have the ripper effect, but they are griddled to perfection that results in a wicked snap crunch on every bite. Ask for the Texas Weiner hotdog traditional and careful not to try other Hotdog places called Texas Weiners. These two locations keep the Texas Weiner style traditional and authentic: the hot dog is foot long, chili is unbelievably good, and hot dog is griddled for hours NEVER FRIED!!! Awesome vlog channel, Dude!

The dogs look like smoked sausage or what they call in Chicago a Polish sausage. When you get a Chicago polish it is also deep fried. You can find these brands served at local diners like Ted’s or Louie’s in Buffalo, Don’s Original, Bill Gray’s or Schaller’s (among others) in Roch and Heid’s near Syracuse. Pretty cool that before you were kind of anxious if it was ok to film in front of locals but then one of them made you film and gave recommendations, wanted to help you make millions of views hahah

And the Italian hot dogs @ Jimmy Buffs. Mind blowing. Recently won best of NJ hot dog contest.

Try Lucky Louie's in Erie PA! Kick ass selection of dogs and and local beers to wash them down! They only use Smith's dogs which is locally made.

The best hot dogs are in Marietta Georgia near Kennestone Hospital. Many years ago, it was Betty's World Famous. Betty is no longer with us. It is Brittany's World Famous now. The chili will make your head sweat, the onion rings are the best and the sweet tea has just the right amount of diabetes. If you come to do the Marietta Diner, eat lunch at Brittany's. Don't go after 1:00 pm. Make sure that you get some.
