Billy drives this band to stardom. Genius guitar playing with a killer band to blast along with 3 fabulous lead players. Fantastic harmony vocals help set this band in the top drawer of creative Americana music. We are so lucky to be able to hear and watch Billy Strings and his bandmates show us how it is done. Glad I am here to catch it all. I saw Doc and Merle and the Dead years ago. Doc and Jerry are grinning ear to ear on this one. New blood and how wonderful. Thanks Billy. Tip the band. They all deserve it. You are listening to the finest.

For those that don't know this man's background, suffice to say that he's come a long way and he's one hell of a guy. I've listened to many a blue grass, but this guy is off the charts. This goes without saying that the band as a whole is amazing. This is the music that generations now need to listen to. Keep this music alive and flowing for years and years to come! I'd give my right arm to see him in concert. I'm left completely without words to describe how amazing Billy Strings is....love you man!

I want to ask if he might possibly be on the autism spectrum -- possibly Asperger's. This isn't a smartass comment. My exes family had lots of autism and Asperger's and the ones that had Asperger's were all excellent musicians. I swear I don't mean any disrespect. Just curious if someone might know. He has the look.

As a musician...often your only as good as the musicians you surround yourself with. Music has brought me many places, from these green mountains where I grew up watching Phish play at The Front in Burlington before they were “Phish”. I’ve played all over this country of ours...from Chicago to the South...finally landing in Austin,TX where I was fortunate enough to be able to make a living from music...Billy & Co are carrying that musical generational torch. I grew up with music, my uncle the mando player for a bluegrass band The Bluegrass Patriots...to all the music my folks played as I grew up. I’m always lovin these guys...they really do compliment one another, the way it needs to be.

As a hard rock / old school metal player i always appreciated the upbeat bluegrass stuff . The playing is phenomenal. I always joked .... give a bluegrass player a Gibson and a Marshall and all the metal players would cut their hair and get s job at McDonald’s
@HomeSouthBuilders11 ай бұрын
Lol, no…. Hard rock/Metal requires more than this right here. Attitude, phrasing, vibrato, tone, etc… Yes what Billy is doing is badass, but would he have been as good as Randy or Zakk with Ozzy or Vivian with Dio or Gary Moore in everything? Buckethead can do all this stuff Billy does in his sleep.

Some might say Tony Rice "blew away" Doc Watson, and I'd call them fucking nuts. There's some parable about the student becoming the master. Seldom Scene brought us something like this... Their vox might've topped the Strings band, too. But what the hell is the point of rating bands when they're all in the stratosphere? What are your thoughts on Tom Brady, btw?
