His demeanor seems to say that he was someone's pet before. He knew exactly what a collar was and it seemed to me that he he did pretty good during the shave. Those sores look to be the result of his mats pulling his skin.😢 Just waiting to hear about his lump, his medications and a guesstimate of his age. Poor baby was freezing without his matted coat!! He is such a sweet pup!! Y'all will have no problem finding him his Furever Home!!! ❤ 😍 ❤

It’s rare to find a rescue dog that doesn’t have heart worms. Dang mosquitoes. I have house cats and they still get the full monthly treatment. Only take 1 bite from the wrong mosquito. It’s in the flea medicine anyway. Also brings the point that though they don’t go out, you can bring them in.

Just be careful with the cat collar bc they are breakaway so if you ever leash him and he gets scared and pulls away it could unclip. Its a safety thing.

I personally think he has mini wire hair dachshund (pronounced darks hund, it’s a German word) in him as dachshunds love to be close to you to cuddle and bury themselves in blankets. They really appreciate little dark hiding places too. Looking forward to following his journey to recovery! He’s definitely a lap dog 😍

I understand the cat collar for Billy Bob. I had a Shih Tzu that had a "cat" collar...when he had to wear one because he was tiny, too. All in all, I think the vet visit went about the way I expected it. I'm not surprised there were sores under the matted hair and that he was hookworm and heart-worm positive. Like Billy Bob, my Shih Tzu also had a lump (which turned out to be cancer) in one of his testicles, but that was corrected when I had him fixed. I'm crossing my fingers for the sweet guy!!

Yes I think we can all see Lester is just a sucker for an animal that needs a home. He wants to act tough and not fall in love with them but if he were to answer honest I bet the first day they see these babies it’s all over. They are theirs and no one will ever hurt them again. 🤠❤🌵jami i was with a pet rescue for 10 years...ive had as few as 7 and as many as 63 dogs durin` katrina ..at times...so many different stories behind each one...some worse than others....but the reason i say this is once you have 7 ...theres not much difference with 20.....it takes a small army to tend to them all and you can get very frustrated with the human race ..the storys i have in my head would make you cry....billy bob shows the demeanor of someone left behind ..maybe his people died..or moved...but he looks like he was someones baby and got left behind....hes more confused than anything ...you should have great luck with him ...should be easy to find him a place
