Fun fact: if a wall is making you "snap" back, it does so in the opposite of the direction you're facing (i.e. always backwards) so if you get stuck try to find something that does that and then turn around in time for the pushback. In corrupted levels, debug mode is your friend when doing things like this. Also, the death plane is there so that Sonic doesn't take Knuckles' path because he isn't supposed to be there at all, so the game kills him as if he fell into a bottomless pit or got crushed.

The reason why that you die on knuckles path is because sonic is never meant to go there. So to continue though the game as blue knuckles is to use debug mode

dude, the blue knux is sick. one of my favorite game playthroughs is someone doing a full playthrough of a corrupted sonic 3&K file and they play as blue knuckles. they use debug mode to get past the parts that are impossible to get by. they narrated like the whole thing and explained like a lot of the corruptions and it's cool. they deleted their channel i think, but there's a reupload of it in an archive channel. it was by sonic8000. pretty sure they did it on an actual genesis too
