Billy, you might be making the kitsuke videos around. The fact that you put that short segment in with the left sleeve removed was particularly useful. You are also making good choices with regards to the colours you are using too, we can actually see the folds and the contrast between the kimono and other items.

Your videos are good quality and instructionals extremely clear. Thank you! All my kimono lessons were in Japanese, starting with a study abroad in Tokyo in 2002. I always felt like I missed so much of the finer points and labels because of my Japanese language level. It is great to hear your clear instruction in English. Yeah!. Although your method of wearing kimono has some differences from what I learned, I plan on adopting many. There is always something new I can learn even though I have my own kimono license.

This is a fantastic tutorial for basic kimono wear, I’ve been wearing Kimono for several years now but I still learnt some great tips! My question, Billie, is about the Obi Musubi that you suggested, as the link is to a tutorial for a Han-haba obi musubi. I was under the impression that Han-haba obi were only for wearing with Yukata, not Kimono, am I mistaken?
@BillyMatsunaga5 жыл бұрын
ziah papaya hi! Yes, you are mistaken. Hanhaba can be worn with casual (only casual!!) kimono as well as yukata 😉 which is cool, because it makes it so much easier to wear casual kimono mir often ❤️ I’m also talking a lot about what you can combine with what kimono on this channel.
