There is so much gratitude that i owe this band... I grew up in an houshold with a sadistic father. It was purest tyranny. That domestic violence was drowning and my mother, my little brother and me suffered for long. The first time i wanted to take my life at the age of 12 years thinking there is no escape from here. Shortly afterwards i for the first time, accidentally, listened to Saint Veronkia, little did i know how most of BT songs would help me through my next years. I felt like they talked to me and the video was kinda hypnotic (our curtains were always closed so the colors used in the video reminded me of my home) in school or anywhere people didn't notice my situation, cause i never showed, i was afraid, as if he was so strong and there would be no force which could stop him from harming us. Year went by and by nothing changed. We seemed like a picture perfect family, me being the good daughter going to uni, my brother being good in school and playing in a football team... little did people know how every single day we survived was a gift. I hoped that a miracle would rescue me, us one day. But miracles don't happen. You need to take action, no matter hoe afraid you are, if you don't make the change, it won't happen. I didn't think that all could end so quikly. On June 26th 2021 i called the police after he attacked me again... tbh... the state didn't help a lot but his mask kinda fell off and it's so hilarious to see how this man was actually the biggest coward i've ever met. The fear of society that he had i would have never imagined. And as in this song... things get better indeed... and yes , when i look back, it does seem like a dream, it's all so far away from me now, all the pain, the fear, the tears... All you need to do is taking action and most importantly, don't hold yourself back from telling people about what you're going through. Don't allow these cowards to build up a power on you for their own ego. It's your life, don't let others destroy it

What I like about this song is that it’s so cliche, but it doesn’t feel that way. I refused to listen to this song because of fear of it being not good even though they never released a bad song. I'm so glad I was soooooo wrong. The riffs the songwriting and progression and production and message is what I needed. Thank u billy talent. Give us more music.
