I recently befriended a homeless veteran who lives down the street from me. I told him that I was joining the marine corps so he told me to come by and listen to some of his stories. We became very close and I started to visit him very regularly. He showed me this song and told me that one day I'm going to look down from the top and that he wants me to remember him when I become the best marine the corps has seen and when I change the world. I smiled and told him that I couldn't forget him because he would be there with me. About a month ago he disappeared. I'm not sure what happened I just hope he's ok. Every day when I wake up I listen to this song and do my workouts. I was so happy to finally see the Offspring live the other day. This has always been my favorite song of theirs. They did an amazing show and after Pretty Fly, the whole place went dark. We all assumed the concert was over. A lot people started walking away. I just sat there kinda bummed they hadn't played this song. It was still a great show though. Then a couple minutes later, lights flashed on and they burst into this song. The whole arena LIT THE FUCK UP!! It was amazing.
