The Kennedy Center Honors, named for president John F Kennedy is an annual honor given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to american culture. Cher was being honored in 2019 and Adam was asked to perform for her. It was magnificent!! Made Cher cry and she tweeted about it for weeks after. Reba and a few others were being honored that year and each had performers sing for them.

I've watched this video over & over! Just can't get enough of everything Adam can do. His voice does it all! I also appreciate an artist who makes a point to breathe loudly into the mic! Let's you know the mic is live & the artist isnt just lip syncing to a recording. Adam also did the main song for the movie 2012 with Nicolas Cage. The song is called "Time for Miracles". Another beautiful ballad by Adam.

Our boy Adam, took a up beat song like Believe and turn it into a slowed down ballad with a beautiful arrangement and made you listen to the raw emotion of these lyrics, I get goosebumps listening to this performance! Adam got a standing ovation by doing Cher’s song justice! I click anytime I see Adam Lambert he’s amazing!

The Kennedy Center Honors is my favorite time of year! It honors those in all aspects of the entertainment industry from news to big and small screen to music to theater. It’s once of the greatest honors an entertainer could get. Norman Lear’s was amazing and made me cry. The Who’s was SPECTACULAR!!! It’s awesome and there are so many to look at and see the contributions of the honorees to the entertainment industry.

Your right that song by Cher was a upbeat song, Adam took it and stripped it down to a ballot with a beautiful full orchestra with a beautiful arrangement! He makes you really listen to the emotional meaning of the lyrics and what Adam does beautifully in this song is he just slowly builds the song all the way thru! I love ❤️ Adam’s version of this the best! You should react to a younger version of Adam doing Dust In The Wind and also there is a fantastic duet he does with Leona Lewis on a song called Girl Crush if you love his Believe than you’ll love these two song! Love that you did this as I’ve grown to love this performance. Now you have to do Kelly Clarkson’s “Fancy” to Reba on the same time. Kelly’s speech is so cute and humble and she kills it! If you love Melissa you need to check our Reba’s show Reba as they were a great duo and became real life friends. Plus the bloopers are funny as Reba came from a rodeo and singing background and had figure out acting and remembering lines (they often had her lines writen Around the set).
