Good information, specially for newbie like me. What should I do if I cant find the correct cafd that matches with the istep. I coded my driver and passenger seat module with nearest number due to missing cafd and have trouble. Previously the car was showing Airbag sign but now the airbag warnings are gone however both seats don't move at all...

If you apply the CAFD then it is coded based on VO So check seat options in VO and redo the coding.

Thanks to your last 4 videos, I managed to update my second-hand headlights. However, I still have a question: My new headlights are EU version, but my car is a US model. After I flashed the headlights, the car is now looking for the side markers, which the EU headlights don’t have. How can I get rid of this error? Should I change the vehicle type code (Typschlüssel)? Right now, it’s set to ‘TA63.

Change typschussel to TA61 and with that code only light (FLE) is ECUs Maybe BDC But NOT THE WHOLE vehicle

Great video like always bro. I have something, maybe you can do a video of it. When chiptuning bmw then ista shows S0777 Tuning detection. Any idea or can you upload a video how to erase the tuning detection code S0777 ?

It is not impossible to remove that. But it is pointless. Became if you still have warranty and if smth happens with the engine then based on logs that bmw has via telematics they will anyway see that parameters are off for standard software. So in the end you will hide nothing. If you like Chiptuning just use it.

Hello! I see in Esys for dummies videos and other videos of you about esys that under tab "Open Conection", main series "All", connection type "All", that your database displays series like (F001, F002, F003, F004, F007, RR04 etc) and it is more easy to find the model of car, F10, F07, G30. As example G30 is displayed under S15A system. In my esys under system S15A does not diplay the series that use this system. My database is 4.50. What can i change to have system and series displayed like you have??? Thank you and wish you all the best.

It is the launcher that expands esys capabilities (it’s not related to esys or database version)

It will have ISN that’s needed to be erased / verginized Beginning in the same as I’ve shown. But you will not achieve 100% result with that.

Codings ACSM is the same as coding any other ECU with multiple CAFDs

DME has in addition to VIN also ISN (security) code. And esys is it able to change ISN anyhow. So DME replacement is not so straight forward.

Thanks a lot for the informative video. I have a tricky situation any assistance is appreciated. Recently, I replaced low pressure fuel pump LPFP (brand new) with second hand module responsible for the functionality of the LPFP. The module is EKPM3 and a person told me that it needs coding. I connected the car with E-Sys and I could not see any CAFD variable listed in the EKPM2 folder. Also the car did not had any CAFD variables with FFFFFFF letters which as far as I know means all CAFD files are coded. The car runs without any issues but I am not sure if a coding is required as this is a second hand module/ECU which does not have exactly the same part number but it is from the same car same engine different year. Car is bmw f10 530xd N57

FFFFFF is never correct file. So yes coding is needed. Your CAFD might not be even present there. And there fire ECU might work in “emergency” mode.

Original ista is always a solution. Depends on how often do you need that. Not everyone can have access to OEM ista

Vladimir i tryed to made update on my car (F10 LCI) and on Tal calculation EGS and GWS is everything blue i pressed HW-IDs from SVTactual and nothing happened still blue and all ECUs have blue and red color and GWS and EGS are yellow. I tried to play with I-Step (shipment) but HWEL files still blue on this ecus. Can you help me? Thank you!

Hi. Maybe one video how to handle with programming in car where a lot of retrofits was made? I've got F11 2011 and I did a lot of retrofits, replaced / added a lot of ECUs (CAS, ZGW, FRM, SZL, HKFM, EGS, FRR). I wanted to update whole car to the newest I-Step. I used "HW-ids for SVTactual" but still, SZL went bad. I don't fully understand what I did wrong, HWEL was black for all ECUs in my case.

Одна машина подключается и видит все блоки. А к второй не видит машину от слова вообще: “не удалось прочитать VIN… и т.п.” может ли это связано с обрывом или коротким замыканием Кан шины? Может быть дело и в самом дкан (используйте переключатель на кабеле или замыкайте контакты 7-8 на кабеле). Копайте в эту сторону. Наверно у вас Е65 разных годов выпуска.

If you are getting the situation where all is black then ECU has most recent software in it at does it require to be updated. Also playing with istep shipment requires changing vehicle production date in FA as well.

Is it possible to code High Beam Assistant (5AC) to G20 without FSC certificate? When I press auto beam button, the dash shows message "function is available in connected store". Online store asks 200GBP for it. I've tried to write 5AC in the vehicle order and code ECUs, but having same message on the dash and D91495 cafas fault appeared permanently, which is related to fault of the High beam automatic system.

ECU - Engine Control Unit. The module you replaced is not an ECU. It has no immobilizer data inside. Please make another video, how to replace proper ECU. Especially, how to transfer the immobilizer info to the used unit.

ECU is not ENGINE its stands for ELECTRONIC control unit. All ECUs are different. Yes if ecu has immo data (like DDE or CAS) then replacement is not so straight forward. But problem is that it’s impossible to make universal guide for those ECUs. Because for example CAS, FEM, DDE and EGS all have ISN, but approach will be different.
