I think it’s the habits Merlin passed down to all of them and Doug has passed down to Chet. Work ethic, pride in ownership of their equipment, and their meticulous nature when it comes to keeping their farm/shop clean and looking good not just farming knowledge . The little things make any operation successful not just farming.

Thanks for another great video. This video was extremely interesting and informative. Thanks to Dougo and Chet for their farming information. Back to that in a minute. First of all was good to see Amy. Super lady!!! Delivering meals, wonderful. Good to see Toby, the yard supervisor. Great to see Dougo and Toby interact. Love you goggles Dougo. Understand why you wear them around corn chaff. Hard on the eyes. Long way up the big bin. Wow. Love that magnetic device you have to measure crop loss with the combine. Those new concaves you put in the combine are doing a great job according to the devices and your field check. Makes the price of the new concaves worth it. Great it worked for you. My compliments to all of you and the way you manage the operation. All of these advancements are due to your team management and caring for the farm operation. On this video you covered a lot of harvest ground. Good going. Sorry the rain stopped the day. Dougo, was nice to see your dad. I am sure he has a lot of stories about farming. Yes Sir that would be great to hear. The history of the farm from your grandparents perspective. I'm a history nut myself. I had the honor of 4th generation on a hay/peanut/cattle. farm .our family has been in this area since the 1880's.

@@redmondjp Nearly every farm has abandoned houses As they get bigger amd bigger they absorb smaller farms with all the infrastructure Some of the real old places round here have 10 or more houses some even have whole town sites that have been flattened and famed over No need for a town every 20 miles apart Amy more
