vanquish is an amazing game, but it's a very different game. it's pretty much a "shoot em up" done in 3d, many bigger enemies transform the game into a bullet hell... this instead is a very well done "narrative driven" game

It's not "Japanese Gears of War" as some people say. Gameplay-wise it's very similar (less tedious, though, and has more variety), but the characters, the story and the direction is on another level. I did not expect quality writing from it, but holy shit. Must-play for all sci-fi fans.

This game has so much franchise potential. Either move forward with the after credit scene and make a sequel with that or make a totally different sequel or make a prequel, show how Dan came to be known as the Survivor or make a Buddy Action shooter showing Dan and Big Boo in the special forces. I really want more of this. I hope Sega gives BD another chance.

I picked this game up on steam a while ago, and you nailed it with the intro. The problem I have with the game is the voice commands. It rarely picks up my voice appropriately. I get the sense that it's hella replayable, but when the game thinks I'm saying "shut up" instead of "Sorry" after friendly fire, it's pretty annoying. By the way, with voice enabled, you can apologize to your team to mitigate lost rep. The game really does play differently when you rely on voice compared to button commands, but I still have 6 phrases the game doesn't recognize. Fortunately, none of them are vital, and a couple would only piss off my squad.

To Shill the game harder than the video, Binary Domain recently went on sale for Steam(PC) this week and will resume to be till August 22. The game is 80% off and is cheaper than a Kid's meal at a fast food restaurant. Drop the Big Mac you don't need and get yourself hours of entertainment instead! I have to thank you for this video, as despite my love for the Yakuza series this game flew completely under my radar. I just recently bought it and found myself having a good time despite my biases to most shooter games. I found it a little difficult to get into at first but once past the tutorial the game just picked up and before I knew it the game had me hooked. I'd say anyone who likes to play games for the boss battles, this game is definitely a good addition to their collection as it really emphasizes what it's like to be just a small squad fighting giant deadly robots. They're grand, tenacious and relentless but can be defeated if you yourself can be even more tenacious to the point that eventually you'll notice you're dodging missile barrages while knocking away armor piece by piece to get to the weakspots. It's that sense of scale as well as gameplay that really makes Binary Domain a keeper for me, with the characters and setting being what helps it come together for me. I was far more impressed than what my expectations held, so I have to say thanks to you HyperBit, for introducing a hidden gem that was certainly a pleasant experience. (PS. Here's a con to the game: small walking segments that you can't speed up sprinkled throughout the campaign. Not the worst offender but I'm getting really tired of seeing it.)

Really fun game indeed. The few little flaws here or there really don't change the fact that it's never been this fun to shoot robots, something I usually hate in games due to how usually unresponsive to damage these are made to be. The devs here really knew what it takes to make it feel satisfying with the many little debris and limbs flying off and all the potential reactons from being shot. Also the end when the game just decides to pile up plot twists after plot twists was amazing. It was so dumb I loved it.

Thanks to this video I had the chance to pick up Binary Domain on the PC during this last Steam sale. Through 2 play sessions I beat the game at 11 hours including breaks to go walk the dogs and talk to family/alt tab to the internet. I enjoyed this game a lot and will agree that this game deserves a solid recommendation. There's just something about a Japanese take on western style games that really interests me. Maybe it's the ability to experience more japanese stories in games without having to learn some weird game that I'm not used to that's attached to it. But yea, this was fun as hell and I would never have tried it without this video. Thanks man. Funny enough, whenever I did see Binary Domain in the Steam Store it honestly made me think of Bionic Commando more than a standalone thing, not sure why. Mainly the cover art and the closeish name I suppose.
