I feel like Binary Domain is pretty underrated when compared to many other third-person shooters. This, along with Spec Ops: The Line and The Darkness II, are some of the most underrated games to come out of 2012 in my opinion.

Blah... speaking of over rated games...😒...😋 I hated every minute of vanquish... Just couldn't get into sliding around on my knees for 95% of the game... especially since the game punishes you for playing it like a standard 3rd person cover shooter...😒X2

I love this game. To me this is Sega at its best. The game is just fun in every way. It's a shame it was practically overlooked and forgotten. I can say the same for the Bionic Commando remake, just fun games that the general public either ignores or criticized into obscurity.

This is the definition of an underrated game. The story is interesting but also handled with self awareness and humor that is genuinely enjoyable. The gameplay is good, the enemies react to bullets nicely and there’s unique quirks to the gunplay that leads to options in fights you don’t normally have. Like headshots making enemies turn on each other.

Yeah, I think this game is a blast! You should check out another game I remember coming out around that time called Shadows of the Damned. It's similar only in that it's a third-person shooter and I'm not sure why I'm pairing it up with Binary Domain in my mind...maybe I got them the same day? Anyway, Shadows of the Damned is unique and really underrated. I'd love to know what you think about it. Look into it.

Binary Domain is damn great, it was very overlooked at the time. And I can't stop thinking about how the HUD looks so similsr to Final Fantasy XIII for some reason.

I played the demo for this on 360 and it felt like a typical cover shooter. I recently got into the yakuza series and fell in love with it. When I heard the yakuza team made this game, I wanted to look into it a bit. After seeing this review, I’m upset I didn’t give it a proper chance

Did you guys try playing it with mouse though ? Because last time i played it with a mouse it had really bad mouse sensitivity issues like a reverse mouse-acceleration if you move your mouse too fast your aim is slowed down but if you move the mouse slowly your aim is sped up.

@@Gamingpastime64 Looking at some recent steam fourm threads about the mouse issue it seems it still hasn't been fixed by Sega there are some fixes people are suggesting but those only work for a few people, you guys might want to put in some sort of a warning in the description about the mouse problem the PC port has before someone without a controller decides to buy this on PC.

Yea the game has a really bad mouse problems for the PC port your best bet would be to try the fixes listed in here steamcommunity.com/app/203750/discussions/0/1290691308581036352/ or if that doesn't work play with a controller.

Honestly I found binary domain to be really mediocre. The core gameplay doesn’t really do much to make it that more standout from other shooters. Doesn’t help that the enemies feel like damage sponges, the weapons are mostly standard affair, and the voice command system just flat out sucks. I do think the enemy designs are a strong point of the game though.

Well how about the fact, that you're fighting armed killer robots, as opposed to zombies, terrorists and criminals? "Doesn’t help that the enemies feel like damage sponges" I think there's something wrong with your copy, cuz the enemies died very quickly when using the right weapons to hit them in specific areas. Which is where the locational based damage comes into play.

@@GMTA-pg9xr just wanna say say that comment was like 4 years ago and I have re-visited it since I made that. I still don’t think it’s that good of a game, but I place it more in the decent side. My criticisms of it are much different now than what I said all those years back, but I will say the bullet sponge nature isn’t as bad as I remember, but I would say combat becomes really easy and there’s a real lack of variety with weapons since it’s mosrly variants of rifles and shotguns.
