Sir at 17:56 , you said in overall system 6 phases exist.... But we studied that phases are mechanically separable then why do we consider Fo + liquid as one phase instead of two????

Hi , You are confusing Fo here (Fo+ liquid) as solid or crystallized but that's not the case. Here Fo (Fo+ liquid) is in liquid form. Look at the diagram again. Solid is written only at two positions Solid Fo+En and Solid En + Qtz.

@@shreyashri7454 Don't get confused , just count how many distinctive phases are there , whether it is solid or not. in binary system there are only two phases Plagioclase and Melt . while in the peritectic , there is Fo, En , Qtz, Fo+En, En+Qtz and Liquid , do not count liquid multiple times.
