Petunia! Sub from New Zealand. My Great Gran used to burn peat. My Mum said the smell was lovely when she visited their little farm. In NZ only homeowners pay the equivalent of council tax. It's called Rates and it's going up soon. Blast! Another Lab tale. My Lab was mad keen on ducks, so she used to quietly go into the deep, stll parts of the river, dive underneath and grab them by their legs. Then present a live unharmed ( she had a "soft mouth" ) duck to me. Highly offended when I let it go.
