Man that is so true. I get it. It is very sweet but even though I feel like I understand the intent of the song my brain has been twisted no doubt to see this as something other than a mature man building up a young girls self esteem.

Wonderful, fabulous movie, yet now knowing what a child beating father he was - how much anger he had at NOT being the characters he portrayed in film, whike living his life - which was well known at that time, (Hollywood secrets) it is hard to enjoy him and this. Some people, like Bing, just aren't able "to have a real life" apart from the aura they have as "movie stars". The movies are the movies, and life is about living it, whether you are a plumber, bus driver, doctor, politician or lawyer, and unfortunately many times people just can't separate their life from their profession.

Dear God💗❤️💗❤️💞🙏in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the , life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.

Not a person on these comments with understanding. This is not a beautiful innocent song, this was "this times" desensitizing attempt to corrupt human minds. This is not a playful or fun but it is a charming song. A charming, cunning snake supposedly "innocently" attempting to introduce pedophilia as ok. That's how this spirit operates, cunning and crafty and charming and look at all you unsuspecting fools. How do you think it has gotten an bad as it is today? Desensitizing efforts like this, that's how. Today's desensitizing television programming makes that day "seem" innocent, but it's all on the same path. For goodness sake, judge right.

Crazy that people say this song is innocent just because it’s old. Now listen to up children people where never innocent in any era. And just because it’s in a movie doesn’t mean it’s uncritical and simply playful. Child stars of this time where sexual assaulted, violated and abused. It wasn’t a magical time of innocence. This song is weird and unsettling. It’s only that this time was closer to marrying 12 to the men who groomed them. Still pedo shit just one that was signed off on depending on the context. Stop with the rose tinited glasses about today being so perverted. Just like how Old songs are horny, prevented and just as weird as they are today. Movies are the same.
