Why in hmp pathway we utilises 6 molecules of glucose 6 phosphate
@aimashah88934 жыл бұрын
Sir please clear the dout
@proteinengineering0074 жыл бұрын
@@aimashah8893 It is because : 1. for one cycle under anaerobic phase you need 1 molecule of Ribose 5 P and 2 molecules of Xylulose 5P to synthesize 2 molecules of of Fructose 6P and 1 molecule of Glyceraldehyde 3P (GAP). 2. To have these three substrates of one cycle of non oxidative reactions, 3 Glc6P are needed (as we know one molecule of Glc6P give rise to single molecule of xylulose 5P.) It means you need 3 Glc 6P for each cycle of reactions catalysed by transaldolase and transketolase. 3. Now U must also know that resulted 2 molecules of Frc 6P and 1 molecule of GAP should get converted back to Glucose 6P. But GAP being 3 C compound cant produce any hexose sugar. SO in order to have another hexose sugar from GAP, another cycle of non oxidative reactions are required. SO another GAP molecule generated from second non oxidative cycle will react with GAP from first cycle to produce another molecule of Frc 6P ( reverse of triose phosphate isomerase + Aldolase reaction of Glycolysis). in summary, 6 Glc6P are converted into 6 pentoses, which are converted to 5 frc6P molecules. If u wish to find more details at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5eVoamejaZksNU
