I haven’t watched the whole podcast yet but after 25 mins into it I can already tell that the fundamentals of what he’s speaking of are precisely what I’ve experienced through my own health and how it absolutely relates to my ability to connect with the divine, it’s compelling that none of the religions I’ve ever been exposed to outline how to improve health in a real world way that can actually help us achieve a true connection to the divine, thank you for having this gentleman on your show! The world needs this knowledge in my opinion, especially the western world.

If anyone triggers you, it probably says more about you than the person who triggered you. Discernment is a lost art that we all need to reacquire; discernment without judgement. That said, Dave has probably done as much if not more for providing logical, scientific, and grounded information that can be "practically applied" than anyone in America in recent times. I listen to the things he says, I discern what it means, and I incorporate what is rational to me. The rest I let go for now. I take this approach with everyone who is sharing information about health, spirituality, humanity, etc. My aim is to be more like the ancient masters; on the horizon, just in the darkness, but aware of the light. How can you have universal awareness and unconditional love with a judgement?

That smacks of inklings of Dissociation. I think the problem is the disconnect we have within ourselves from all parts that make us who we are. Not sure I like this guy. The way someone speaks and presents information tells more than what they actually say. I agree with the notion of having good health first before embarking on a spiritual growth journey, because happy healthy body naturally feels calmer, vibrates higher and there is space for higher thinking if you’re not bogged down in health issues and mental stress that comes with them. On the other hand, following a vegan and then vegetarian diet has been a game changer for me. Today I’m convinced it’s about eating whole, natural foods, a good variety. Staying away from anything that’s manmade and artificial, and taking care of other things like sleep, hydration, exercise etc. It’s about everything. If not for ethical implications I’d follow a paleo diet which I think is the closest to what we should be eating for optimal health. But good to listen to those we don’t like or agree with, allows you to practice keeping an open mind. Finally, I believe whatever you do, as long as you follow your gut, you’re on the right path. We are exactly where we need to be. It’s not about getting things right the first time. Learning from mistakes and downfalls is just as valuable as trying out someone else’s advice and tips. Enjoy the process.

That’s also the position of dietetic associations around the world- that a plant based diet is completely healthy for all stages of life. Too many experts who also bring their own ethics of compassion or lack of them into how or what we eat. Your reminder Andre to the 99% plus animal food coming from the abominable animal agriculture, didn’t even make your guest uncomfortable. It is absolutely not true that animal protein is fundamentally essential for everybody, this is misleading. If politicians and big fat cats food executives are made out of animal protein, if I wasn’t vegan I would start today😅 You can be perfectly healthy and energized on a vegan or plant food diet. And I am not talking about having been vegan for 6 months but over ten years, and so are many of my friends, family and colleagues. We are not fat, bloated, lacking energy, etc We exercise, work, have families, enjoy life… Basically you couldn’t tell that we are vegans if you look at us, we look like “normal people”😂. I love this podcast. I understand we have to follow our Dharma: Truth, Purity, Non-violence, and Discipline, but I do not agree when someone says “see a therapist for one hour and that will not get you anywhere.” We can agree to disagree on that one. This is definitely not true, I teach meditation practices and I also teach how nutrition can affect our mental and physical health and rather you are a vegan or not this is someone’s choice and I respect (Non-violence) others choices (as long as it is not hurting themselves or others). We all have choices, I call it the ripple effect and whatever choice we make it always creates a ripple effect(effecting others and things around us by that energy level just like this guest on this podcast). And we can all have our own perception of reality because of course we create our reality by what we choose to focus our attention and awareness on (ripple effect as well). And this guest on this podcast of course can have his own process and perception of his own reality but some of the information he said I do not agree with and that is okay too. Just felt I should share hope everyone has a peaceful and amazing day!

Just remember everyone. Your belief about your wellness and what you put in your body is probably just as important on the actual things you do. People who live past 100 but also smoke and drink their entire life aren't any different than you... their belief system is just tuned to "I can be healthy regardless of what I put in my body." All of the things that are deemed "healthy" are largely from a collective belief system based off current science that those things are healthy. If the CDC made a national post today that eating twinkies was good for your health, and people ACTUALLY believed it deep inside of them, they would likely be fine. Placebo is incredibly powerful. I still eat mostly healthy because I feel better when I eat it. But I've also been programmed by going to college to study exercise science, where all they tell me is that certain foods are good, and others are less nutritionally dense. I couldn't imagine not eating dessert or having some of the crazy foods they make now. But I don't eat them all the time. And when I do eat them, I REALLY enjoy it.

Asprey's a sketchy character and I'm disappointed that he's on this show, tbh. When he started his coffee company he "allegedly" made up a lie that he had a secret, proprietary cleaning system to get mold off of coffee. That's not a way to do business--by lying to get people to buy your product. It's also the reason Joe Rogan did not invite him back after his first and only appearance. Also, good coffees from reputable farms don't have mold issues, but he substantiated that fear to get people interested. IMO, he's all about money and he's using this industry to go after it. To add to that, I made a similar comment on another social media platform where he was a guest, and he replied to me by making a crack about my mother. Before I could screenshot it he deleted it. He also dresses like a teenage skate punk--the guys has to be pushing 60. I won't listen to anything he has to say...there are too many other trustful sources for info, besides him. Why people keep having him on as a guest is so puzzling.

My prayer is you will be able to receive this reflection with the intention it is written in. I sense you wish to effectuate less harm and more love in the world, but one of the greatest challenges heart-centric beings will face in the throes of Initiation is to remain free of judgement and purified of bias to accept that ALL experience is here for a reason (even if the egoic heart/mind has trouble accepting it at first). Ultimately, this world stage offers side-by-side access to perceived villains alongside perceived angels...but note: every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.

We still have a problem driving mass food production. Most of us don’t have the land space to raise our own animals. The price of well grown animal protein is waaaay out of reach for the Iner driver, x-ray tech, call center worker. We MUST start addressing the obvious elephant in the room: those humans we drive past everyday but disregard. I am deeply concerned about how to get all the important practices to the working classes because they cannot afford to eat the way you do and they cannot afford treats. This, they are let alone, with no help for growth. I don’t find suggesting they rely solely on You Tube videos as a sufficient answer to the problem. The challenge is, how can the spiritual community. Shift its focus to those the world leaves behind?

The only pushback I have is, if you’re working out 90 minutes a day, 6 days a week (consistently) for over a year with little to no results or change (I don’t know exactly what change he was looking for) you’re definitely doing something WRONG lol. Either poor training, poor nutrition, inconsistencies, bad advice, something lol.

Andre YOU KNOW ME! I was vegan I HAD to go back to meat for my health IM A LOT OLDER than you - Bloodwork shows I can't eat dairy (cow) or egg whites, nuts. UGH, I eat two times a day. How do I get 170 protein and fibre? Grass-fed (no finish beef )-I'm always constipated :( Wild caught fish salmon and organic local chicken. Alot of pure coconut milk. SO I need 170 Gr protien a day but i can fast for days?
