I so needed to hear this. It really couldn't have come at a much better time. By the end I was brought to tears, and I don't cry often. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you.

I spent 24 years wearing a christian mask. When I hit 40, I finally gave up and said "it can't possibly be this hard! And if it is this hard, I can't do it." and I walked about from my fellowship. Now. at 50 I can say I needed that shake up. God knew what he was doing to make me take an honest look at what I thought was true. Now I'm finally learning to trust God, and it's a bit scary still.. but worth it.

This was truly an inspirational message. A dear, but distant friend shared the link with me. Wow! Thank you so much. It hit home so quick. Especially since losing that relationship with her as a girlfriend is what brought the message truly home. Just exactly as you said. I did not blame God, he comforted me, and brought me peace. Thank you, Praise God! † Brian †

WOW! The church and the world needs to hear this kind of message.

This guy's one of the pastors at the church I started going to a while ago and at some point, while I wasn't paying attention, church changed from something I "should do as a Christian" to something I wanted to do and look forward to. If you're ever in Phoenix, give Open Door Fellowship a try, hopefully John will be in the pulpit that week.

Oh, John; oh, brother. This is God through you! How awesome is that! It is an incredible thing to behold a man that allows God to use him for His glory! It is due to that quality in you that I will be bringing a friend to ODF next Sunday whom is so disillusioned with the church at large as it is, so tired of masks and games, and is ready to find more, to find grace!! I'm so exciting! Praying for you and your church, your brother, Tyler.

Unfortunely, people run away from isolation, or testing. A marriage is difficult and what happens? Divorce. We flee testing and therefore we do not grow. We must surrender to God's testing and working in our lives. Then we can grow and then God will use us as He wills.

I love the message...I really do...just an honest question...what is the rolling r thing in the word "grace" about? Is John from Scotland? Or just a way to highlight the word grace? I noticed him slipping into a Shrekish thing a couple times...just wondering. So looking forward to meeting Reverend Lynch when he comes up to North Dakota next month!

Grace should always be said with a Scottish or Irish accent.
