My brother is 18 months older than me. We both began competitive swimming on the same day with the same coach. My brother was considered an above average, committed swimmer but I was considered really fast. At my peak, if I competed against my brother at his worst, he could always beat my times. After we hit puberty, he could easily beat my fastest times. But I consistently placed higher in the 'equivalent' event. I wasn't close to his time for 100 meter freestyle but I would place first in the women's category and he might have placed in the top 8th. I never would have had the successes and great experiences I had if I had to compete with biological males. Don't even start with sharing a locker room! You can't get dressed after lifting weights and working out in a chlorinated pool without a shower. In the 70's, this meant a large room with 8 shower heads without separation. After practise you often had to wait in line for a free spot. You had to take your suit off to get the chlorine stench off your skin and to rinse out your suit in the shower. No way I would have done this with biological males showering with me. There were 7 year olds with 14 year olds in that locker room. What insane place have we come to?

That’s what I was told by a couple of make ex-prisoners. They also said they didn’t see any violence towards trans identifying male prisoners and that some of those prisoners intimidated the other men. Think of Sarah Jane Barker and Katie Dolatowski. For whatever reason Barker stayed in men’s prison but most don’t. 6ft5 Dolatowski, after nearly killing another male inmate, was transferred to women’s prison. It’s an exercise in cruelty now.

Preface: I am opposed to allowing trans girls/women to be allowed to compete in girls'/women's sports categories. HOWEVER you are voicing a myth, at least as far as athletics. There ARE trans men participating in men's sports. Refer to the Wikipedia article "Transgender people in sports"; it has a list, surely incomplete, of trans males competing in male sports. I have heard claims some are doing well, even excelling. I have not gone looking. Nor do I know if trans men have asked to be assigned to men's prisons. If biology didn't matter there would have never been any need to have seperate sports and prisons and change rooms. It does matter, hence the separation. That separation needs to remain as a biological category and not a self identity thing, which would entirely defeat the purpose of the category in the first place. You don't seperate women's sports because they like wearing dresses and makeup, you seperate them for biological body differences that impact on the fairness of a sport, or impact on your ability to rape in prison etc.

I have PTSD.. on Monday I had an electrician attending my home to give me a quote. On entering my bedroom he said, Oh, is there where all the magic happens, pointing at my double bed. I do not know but I didn't go in there with him to look at the water tank. When he got in there despite knowing I needed a new tank he suddenly said. Oh. you need a plumber not an electrician for this part of the job. I was by now half way down the stairs and prepared to pen the door and walk onto the street. I thanked him and he left. His quote arrived. i shredded it.. that is the end of him coming here. My brother and my late Father. and all the males in my family and my ex would no more behave like that in a strange woman''s home than jump off a cliff. It was an appalling lack of respect and lack of good behaviour. It didn't exactly frighten me.. However is lack of awareness was staggering.. and rude. No-one to complain to.. he owns the firm. I ALSO think the other subject is mixed wards.. I was in one once and it was awful. the toilets were mixed but had a locked door .. it was a bathroom exactly. To use it I had to walk past six male beds.. every one of them sat in bed just staring.. again.. no idea how to behave.. ill or not. in fact it was a surgical ward. I felt very uncomfortable even sleeping on that ward and being under the influence of medication. its not right. Of course not all men are going to attack a female.. but the way women are brought up from young means we are on red alert and when vulnerable in hospital its ten times worse. we re in nighties in bed and probably not able to feel robust by the mere fact we are in hospital.

It seems to me that time is going backwards. Actresses are no longer actresses, the feminine terminology of a thespian, they have given up that right and are now actors, the masculine terminology for a thespian. That, it would appear, was their choice. Sportswomen, who had no choice in the matter, are now suffering because of this ludicrous decision in the name of equality, to allow men to identify as women. Why, in this day and age, is it still the women who have to suffer, both physically and mentally, as the result of a few idiots who call the shots, the loud mouthed minority. And the very fact that you cannot complain about, what to any sane person, is immoral and corrupt, makes my blood boil. IMO the politicians are loving it, even encouraging it, so that they can pass, unnoticed, all the bad policies that are going to end up costing us dearly, in more ways than one.

I’m just wondering, you never hear about trans men demanding to compete in men’s sport or use men’s changing rooms and bathrooms or identifying as men and wanting to go to men’s prisons ! …why is this do you think?

That is why when someone claims they are trans they have to be tested to see if they are truly trans . I am a transgirl myself, felt that age from age 6 years old i am 22 now . I know who i am ,but there are "trans" that come out after they see a benefit of doing so . I am a woman ,i know who i am ,but i agree that transwomen shouldn't compete with women in competitive sports ,it's not fair . About prisons they shouldn't be close to women especially if the crime was r@pe ,just make a different prison for trans people and see how many of these "trans" will say they don't feel anymore like this. Please do not put all trans girls/women under the same definition. These two ladies should learn more about trans without biases ,because they can't understand how it feels to be one ,i am not a male .
